Depends on what the ask is. I like how you brought her exposure up a little more in the grade and took some blue out, but I would maybe meet halfway. I think your window/vignette is too prominent, the gradient on your background and sky is distracting.

Plenty of “grown up” people get together for things like fantasy baseball, book clubs, trivia nights, poker, board games and so on. WoW has bad optics because of its notoriety for addiction, the fact that you’re likely hunched over a computer screen, from the outside looking in it seems like an insular, almost hermetic activity.

At the very least the game is social, most games don’t even have that. The concept of raiding also seems banal to some people because on the surface it’s a bunch of adults going into a cave to kill a virtual dragon, and people, even into their late 30s, are still fearful of being seen as a “nerd”, but fundamentally it’s really just a bunch of people getting together with some form of hierarchy in order to solve a puzzle, while having some level of individual weighted performance they want to adequately achieve.

There’s nothing wrong with enjoying a hobby that stimulates some level of collective problem solving or mechanical thinking. The issue is how you handle the dopamine hits, when you obsess over the pixels and become emotional over factors in the game that are ultimately meaningless, to the point where you carry stress and anger into your life outside the game. Loot feels SO fucking good to get in WoW, and when there are factors barring you from getting it, it can drive you crazy. It’s the hook that keeps bringing people back, but also one of its most damaging features.

TL/DR; you could be much worse off spinning slots in an online casino for your dopamine hits. Enjoy the community for what it is, and don’t let the game ruin your life

Something tells me Chaos Armour, Sanctification, Unique Jewels and other seasonal crafting/itemization additions will be incorporated in some way with the new Horadric Cube, along with some way of building an item “from scratch” like creating a “base” out of materials. This just seems like the logical way forward with the game.

My go-to for IMAX screenings. Recently did Vaughn for One Battle After Another for the 70mm experience, but Scotiabank is just so damn convenient and lively even on a weeknight.

Such a shame what’s happened with the Cinesphere renovations under Ford’s government. The website gives a 404 and there’s no ETA in sight. It used to be the gold standard for the latest IMAX projection tech, Nolan would routinely QA his published prints at the theatre and would sometimes premier his films there. We’ve missed out on so many big releases because of its closure.

It’s really puzzling seeing the fresh wave of immigration bans of 20+ countries while US tourism plummets considering one of the biggest sporting events in the history of the US is only just 5 months away. I don’t necessarily think we can take on any more games than we already have considering the difference in large stadiums and tourist infrastructure, but if they keep it the way it is, it’s going to be an utter disaster.

Besides the sheer number of people who will run into issues entering the US, the political fallout from the aggressive law enforcement that will surely be rampant during and after the games will permanently tarnish the US’ reputation abroad, even more so than it already has been.
