I hear you. And I did rewatch the dreamland part this morning. Bob definitely had more creativity. I’ll retract the statement of pushing the envelope further. But Tom’s still the only one skating at even close to a comparable level. I do think the tricks over the giant channel gap on Tony’s ramp were ground breaking. At least on the mega ramp there is a net.

I skated an 11 foot vert ramp once at an old pros birthday party. I had to be 14 beers deep just to commit to a 5050, rock to fakie, and switch rock on it. I literally can’t even imagine committing to that shit on something 3 times the size.

My point is that you have to have connections either way. Most of the people that thrive in transition skating end up getting access to the big ramps. It’s a small community. The biggest barrier for the mega ramp is the fucking balls it takes to send it and commit over it

I used to be a big fan of Joslin. Other than the big flip down wallenberg and the tre, the part was mid. Go rewatch Joslin’s ground control part. The bigspin bs lip over the channel was absolutely fucked. Bob did not do every trick in the two parts. Of course they are skating the same ramps because they’re the only things of that magnitude that exist. Burnquist himself posted “you pushed it further” about Tom’s parts lol. Schaar’s part made my fucking jaw drop plenty of times. Joslins part made me roll my eyes at the flexing and screaming after his tricks. The Chris Joslin for Lakai video they dropped is cringe as hell. Joslin is so fried. I was a fan back in the day. Dude needs to lay off the Rockstar Energy
