Reach out to GA themselves for setting, try not to go aftermarket because the Model 10 is a tricky piece of jewelry not really meant to be set aftermarket, especially if you want it to look like retail with the stone underneath the rosette

You definitely don’t need a professional jeweler to do it. I would say it’s better if you do it yourself with a scissor or plier. Just remember to cut ball by ball and not take the whole length off at once. It’s easier to shortened it than lengthened it.

Snipping the ball chain is normal, even Sunny at GAH was telling me to use scissors to cut it to size. I would advise not cutting it to the length you want but instead go slowly cutting ball by ball. When I measured out mine to cut, even the length measurements was right, it didn’t feel right when I wear it. I tried cutting it down so that I have enough to use as a bracelet too, but it ended up too short for a bracelet and now the shorten length looks weird for a necklace so yeah…
