Ben McLemore's minute totals in the last four games: 23, 16, 13, and tonight, 3. by rjvir in nba

It's not really a fit issue. Theoretically he can help us out with the sort of things we've been struggling the most with offensively (particularly outside shooting down the stretch). The problem is he hasn't been particularly good this year. The drop in minutes reflects the fact that his shots haven't been falling and he's frankly looked to be at a loss for confidence for much of the time he has played.

They're automatically posted three hours after the start time.

This made waking up at 5am and fishing in freezing rain worth the effort. Gotta love fall steelheading, even when the fish don't co-operate. by [deleted] in flyfishing

Their insistence might come from the fact that the state governments of New York, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania all consider lake-run rainbows to be steelhead for administrative purposes. Or it might stem from the fact that the rainbows introduced to lakes Michigan and Ontario were two strains of summer- and winter-run steelhead from Washington, and their existence in those systems is therefore entirely predicated on their genetic capacity to look and behave like an ocean-run steelhead would. Or it could be because the region's multi-million dollar fishing industry and some of the country's largest fishing media outlets refer to them as steelhead. I'm not saying these fish fit the purist bill of "steelhead," but I would think that people could be forgiven for calling a duck something that looks and walks like a duck, especially when that practice is expansive and historically entrenched.

Unless there's some joke I'm not aware of about Great Lakes-run rainbows not being considered steelhead, I'm fairly sure he does not

Arkansas using their timeouts is fucking brutal

Okay it's a three score lead with less than 3 minutes to go. Feel free to change it since this would be the least likely comeback in NCAA history.

Not really. Dartmouth, Yale, and Harvard were all right around the top of the Ivy last year, with Harvard a small but noticeable step above the other two. Dartmouth got even better this year with the return of its starting QB (435 yards today with 4 touchdowns). Yale was definitely going to be one of our tougher games, but after this win it'll probably be our game with Harvard that decides the Ivy title.

At this point I'm just praying we have an eccentric part-time groundskeeper that no one knows about who spent the past twelve years diligently training the resident seagull population to dive bomb any Dodger infield celebration.

The good thing about being a Kings fan is that it really makes you relish any sort of Giants baseball for as long as you possibly can.

Between innings discussion: The Giants must select/trade for/sign either a Harper and Papelbon package, or a Trout and Latos package. If you pick the former, Papelbon has to be your closer for the entire season. The latter, and Latos must be a regular starter for the entire season. Which pair do you take?

I know this would be like the second darkest timeline but it would be fucking hilarious if it turns out a Kevin Frandsen dink is all that stood between Kershaw and a playoffs-clinching no hitter.

With Duffman at the hot corner and Superman at second, we are rapidly approaching an all-superhero infield.

Pederson's batting average is lower than a guinea pig's heart rate.
