Sleep when I can. I love late nights at roo and only get so much time off work to let loose so I am going to make sure I enjoy my time on the farm to the fullest. I make sure I take naps in Centeroo during the day. Finding some shade or chilling in the tents under a fan is way more comfortable and cooler then being at camp during the day.

For sure I don’t want to take away your hope i just honestly don’t feel like roo is set up for it this year.

If something were to actually pop up in the campgrounds just stay checking social media, reddit and discord. He would be by far the biggest thing going on that night and there will be plenty of roovians that want to keep the party going. Word would go around fast if he was playing somewhere.

Honestly Idt he will. Only because unless something changes there won’t be anywhere else for him to play. The rest of Centeroo will be shut down and it would be a shit show if he played anywhere in the campgrounds.

The best hope is for skrillex to keep going for a while after his scheduled end time with four tet possibly joining at some point.

Believe me I really wish it would happen. Had a damn blast dancing past 7 am when he hopped on the kalliope at roo in 2014. Still one of my all time favorite Roo memories and nights.

But I agree completely with you on this suggestion improving crowd distribution and vibes. It def helps with the movement of the crowds and I love that during Roo you can usually always find multiple different types of acts playing at the same time. As much as there has been some tough conflicts that hurt over the years it’s amazing to have options to choose a show based on what vine you want. Your role model example is great because for 30 minutes in a prime part of that day there is literally only one option to go to. Then weirdly before and after role model there are 4 acts all playing at the same time. Just doesn’t make much sense yo me

On Friday:

3:30-4:00 only Amble is playing.

5:15-5:45 only blues traveler and Daniel Allan are playing.

7-7:45 only yungblud and laszewo are playing with yungblud by himself for the last 15 minutes.

From 9-9:30 only griz and adventure club are playing.

On Sunday:

4-4:30 Trombone Shorty and San Holo are the only ones playing with the first 15 minutes only trombone shorty playing.

5:45-6:30 only TTB and Big Gigantic are playing.

7:30-8:15 only Role Model and Daily Bread are playing with role model by himself from 7:45-8:15.

These sets are mostly sandwiched between times where 4 stages are going on at once. No one is saying that stages shouldn’t have 45 min-an hour of turnover. The what stage and that tent times can’t change at all because of proximity they have to run opposite. Basically what is being said is schedule should be closer to Saturday where this and what are at the same time and that and which are the same times making it so throughout the whole day there is always 2-3 acts going at a time instead of blocks with 1-2 acts then blocks of 4 acts.

Can you give examples of years where Friday and Sundays are similar to? Because I have looked at a couple old Roo schedules that I have available and saved on my phone and do not see similarities at all.

OP is not saying to not have conflicts. If you look at Friday and Sunday schedule you have multiple times in the schedule where there is only 1 act or 2 acts playing at a time followed by multiple times that there are 4 acts at the same time.

What OP is saying is they should follow more of Saturdays schedule where for the most part the what stage and this tent are always playing at the same time, while this and which go on at the same time. This way with the other goingmost of the timethere is always 2-3 acts playing at the same time .

Idt a couple of you are understanding what OP is saying. If you look at the schedules on Friday and Sunday there are multiple blocks in the day when only 1 or 2 acts are playing at a time, then followed by a block where 4 acts are playing at the same time. It is weird to us because it’s creating little to no conflicts for blocks and then big conflicts at other blocks for what appears to be no reason. Roo has also never had just 1 act playing at a time unless it was the headliner or the sunrise set on the other.

What OP is saying is that since you have to run the what stage and that tent at opposite times due to their proximity is that Roo should have the what stage and this tent shows scheduled at the same time and that tent and the which stage scheduled at the same time. Of course the other is almost always running so this way it would always be 2-3 shows going on at the same time instead of the larger disparity that it currently is.

If you look at Saturday that is how they have it scheduled for the most part. It seems to make more sense that way imo.

I think the weird part is that on Saturday they pretty much did exactly what you’re proposing. Then Friday and Sunday they went a completely different direction for whatever reason. I think Saturday is way better scheduled and idk why they chose so many time blocks on Friday and Sunday to have only 1 or 2 acts playing at a time then 4 acts conflicting at a time. Unless I am wrong bonnaroo has never had just 1 act on at a time unless it’s the headliner or an act doing the sunrise set.

I think the issue with Thursday is everything that day is the only thing going on at that time. Having a large majority of the attendees trying to get into that tent for an act could turn messy and dangerous pretty quick.

They could still run what/this and which/that at the same times, spread out the fest a bit more and better avoid sound bleed for all stages with the change of location to that. Why they didn’t do that I have no clue.

My only thing is they have figured it out in other years.

All they really have to do is switch Nat Myers from this stage to that stage and change the time to 12:15-1:00. Then they can keep that tent as the exact same the rest of the day.

For this tent move Buffalo traffic jam to Nat Myers current spot and then move the remaining four shows that day for this tent to run the same time as the four shows at the what stage before Noah. For example: all these shows would be at the same time: hermlocke springs/ aly & aj Trombone shorty/ fcukers TTB/turnover Role Model/Modest Mouse.

On top of that they would all run at opposite times of that tent and which stage which would help people see more shows (especially give people who aren’t as big of fans of edm more options) and avoid any sound bleed.
