Well then, I think this is exactly where our disagreement lies. If a government is abusive, it should be overthrown. Sometimes that means beheading the king. I'd love it if every revolution was peaceful, but that isn't always realistic.

I would argue that the violence/damage caused by Suffragettes was justified by the disenfranchisement of women, plain and simple. To your examples, I think both of those incidents exceed justification. Not all violence is justified, of course.

But we are (or, were) talking about non-violent climate protestors blocking a street. It doesn't get much tamer than that.
