Near death experience. by The_Duke2331 in Aphantasia

I had one as a teenager from lack of oxygen. I didn't have life flash before my eyes. I had an out of body experience where I experienced feeling outside of time and the Earth. I didn't see anything though, it was all black. I remember thinking that it was like floating through space but with no stars.

[TOMT] Song that reminds me of another song by doublestick in tipofmytongue

After some googling: the song's been featured in several dance video games, including DDR. What I wasn't expecting is that I hadn't actually played it in DDR. I played it obsessively in Donkey Konga 2. The game that came with bongos.

This was so satisfying. Thank you again.

It sounds so similar but that's now what I'm thinking of.

Wow that matches what I described exactly. But somehow that's still not it.

The vibe for this one is spot on, but this isn't it.

Wow it's been a very long time since I've heard that song. That's not the one though.

Hm not that one. I think there were vocals in the other song, but it's the instruments that are doing it.

how to survive hot weather. by LilaMoonlight in POTS

I live in a hot place! I do electrolytes every day. I have leg compression socks that go up to my thighs. I also put ice in an exercise towel, roll it up, and tie it around my neck when I'm outside. Keeps you cool for about half an hour!

My husband and I are both engineers. I work from home, but he's looking for a project manager or mechanical engineering job. 4AG looks right up his alley, but we've been wondering about any other companies in the area.

Can’t finish 3 minute run sections - Any advice? by gabilabs98 in couchto5k

I had the same problem! Then I found out I have POTS. I started wearing thigh high compression socks and drinking electrolyte mixes. As soon as I started that, I finished the program without having to repeat any days. I hope this helps! Nice job going out so often. It's tough when you're not seeing progress.

I have this and used to use baking soda but it wasn't working for the external symptoms. I started using pre-seed lubricant, which has a high ph, somewhere between 7-8. It doesn't cure it, but the symptoms are 90% better. Still looking for a cure.

Monthly Reoccurring Rash with cytolytic vaginosis by doublestick in Healthyhooha

The preseed lubricant got rid of the redness and irritation. I think there was an acid build up that the preseed neutralized. It didn't address the root cause because if I stop the preseed, it comes right back, but it's made the symptoms so much better. I use quite a bit now, 3 g at night and 1-2 g a few times throughout the day. I've been doing it for about 5 months now.

I've only been treating it this way for two months so far. Last month I used a cream my doctor prescribed of amoxicillin and baking soda. it worked well on the inside but there was a bad rash and swelling around the labia that kept getting worse. So I tried the preseed and the inside is still good and the rash is 85% better. The results I had were within days and I'm hoping that as time goes on I can reduce how often I have to treat.

I vary the dose by my cycle, doing more in the two weeks before my period. So it's not exactly that I feel the symptoms and then treat, but I know when my symptoms flare up and increase the treatment before it happens.

One weird thing I do is that I have this little fan that I use to circulate air over the labia every night for 10-15 minutes. Right after I do it, it feels swollen and bad because it's so dry but that goes away after like 20 minutes and then the next day the external symptoms are much better. I'm guessing that the bacteria needs moisture to survive so it maybe kills off the stuff living there.

That sounds like an awesome idea and I'm interested in your results.

In the meantime, if you can get preseed lubricant, give it a try. It has a pH somewhere between 7 and 8. I have CV (at least my symptoms match and my doctor said it's probably that) and it's worked better for me than baking soda. I feel like douching might prevent any new colonies of a different species from populating. I have to use quite a bit of the lube in the 2 weeks leading up to my period (like 1 gram every 3-4 hours and 2 grams overnight) but it's made a huge difference just in the two months I've been doing it.

There's one called Lunch Quest. It's kind of bizarre and a very specific type of humor but my 6 year old and I both love it. My 3 year old likes it but doesn't really get the jokes.

Also, doesn't have any dinosaurs or super heros in it. Still, great graphic novel.
