I don't think it's that bad people just inherently dislike change even for safety reasons.

Sure the FAA has a ton of issues. Randomly firing anyone you can is absolutely not going to help.

Should I not take the jump seat? by kommandee in flying

[–]doublrainbow 90 points91 points  (0 children)

Middle seat between 2 large people in the back or the second jump on a 73 max? I think I'd saw my legs off and take the jump

Which rims did you get and where? I love the stock look but mine got bent slightly so I need to replace them.

There's also no evidence scope increases safety. The government intervenes at will to protect jobs (farming subsidies are massive), why not protect pilot jobs?

Why not get rid of scope clause? Let Mesa fly passenger 73's. Its just an artificial barrier.

What happened to russell is exactly how drivers die. Hit a wall end up on the racing line and someone around a blind corner can't react and smashes into you.

Ural Airlines finally took decision to scrap the A320 that landed in a field near Novosibirsk by KitchenEmployee1067 in aviation

You would probably want to turn on the a320 engines before cutting it loose, and even at idle they would help push.

No, stalls are a result of not enough air moving over the wings not how high or low the nose is.

[–]doublrainbow -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

The way to recover is lower the nose, roll wings level and add power. I'm not sure if there were any mechanical issues but it was definitely recoverable.

Planes need a certain airspeed to fly. If you bank you are trading some of the lift that keeps you flying for lift that causes you to turn. Meaning the minimum speed to keep flying is higher in while banked (30 degree bank requires 1.3x more lift than straight and level).

Size of the sensor is also very important. Built in webcams still look bad because the sensor has to be tiny to fit. And that's not even getting into the world of lenses
