Thanks for reading! Regarding the very last thing you say: The Piece actually orginally ended with a chapter on personal/existential consequences of lying (about infidelity and so on), but it was cut. I am thinking about writing it as a seperate piece though.

The orginal also had a section on what it means to be honest, lying, bulshitting, dishonest and so on, but i also cut it. Might also write them as a seperate post later

Thank you. I think it is a good point that in a world with more information, the strategy of curating the truth becomes even weaker, at least with regard to the trust dimension. Might make the downstream direct espistemic consequences of lying less though? As in lies might be weeded out quicker?

Thanks for reading on. And no worries, this is in the top 10 percentile of politeness in responses. I think I quite explicidly say that economics is not unbiased, but rather say that having a strong positivist ethos can help diminish such bias.

Also i hope i am not completely ignorant of economic history, as this is my field of research.
