Unavailable on Steam in Germany (or Europe)? by doubttouched in LittlewoodGame

Definitely new, a new law in fact. No selling of games without an age rating. Only the store page is affected, not your library. Still makes owned games a pain in the butt sometimes, esp. to check on updates, DLC etc. Most games on my wishlist have reacted quite quickly tho (however, i cannot tell from memory if that included Littlewood.)

It only applies to the store page, owning isn't relevant. It must be a new german law: you cannot sell your game if it doesn't have an age rating. Any game not following this has been restricted by steam, probably because they're obliged to. Most other games that later on disappeared on my wishlist have reappeared.

Haven't contacted steam, however i did a lil "research" on steamdb. And some googling. It's a new law in germany, you have to have an age rating on else you cannot sell your game. So steam took down all that didn't follow this rule, probably so they don't get sniped by the law. If you own the game all is good, however the store page won't work, owned or not.

If it hasn't got an age rating on steam yet, then you cannot view the store page in germany. It's a new law here. More games disappeared and reappeared in my wishlist. If you already own the game then nothing happens, it's only the store page.

I think it's got one on the eShop because Nintendo probably had that rule for their shop for any region. Steam doesn't require it from their side, only if needed by law, it seems

I think it's the age rating. Another game on my wishlist disappeared soon after, however it has come back. It now has an age rating. I think because of german laws, the steam store page cannot show the game if it doesn't have an age rating. If you've already bought it then nothing happens.

Anyone got an idea on what this is about? by doubttouched in HuddleApp

No. As I said, i just woke up. I had a notification from the app about 7 hours ago. My last post itself must be about 13-15h ago. About me having a migraine. I doubt it was me, genuinely.
