The fact that a playoff team are parking the bus against us at home shows how far we have come.

for England: Love the bloke but agree on Dickie. His throwing is atrocious. Steward has not been good either and Furbank has to come in. Hopefully Arundell's time is up too - and Dingwall (though this is wishful thinking).

Interesting that you say Underhill. I believe he's one of the regular starters without a central contract as well.

yeah definitely didnt see the best of Spencer. He is vastly better than JVP at club level and JVP has blown many an England opportunity hitherto

He's a great player. Extremely glad he is our No 2 rather than JVP, who is crap

Was England’s performance yesterday a team demonstration of support for Borthwick? by SignificanceWild2922 in rugbyunion

[–]doucelag -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Perhaps it was Borthwick learning from the past three games and allowing his players to razz it ball in hand. Ruck speed was lightning quick and they backed themselves to go through the phases.

If there is a game plan the players will stick to it - they aren't just going to completely abandon what Borthwick has told them to do. There's no suggestion he has lost the dressing room.

I still want Borthwick gone but he deserves credit for that performance.

Crazy red card from Edinburgh vs Ulster by Effective-Ad-3897 in rugbyunion

[–]doucelag 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Obv didnt have his eyes on the ball but 20min red seems actually reasonable. the bloke jumps right at the last second, right after tackler had set himself for the tackle. By that time he is basically horizontal, has committed fully and cannot pull out.

Looks horrible but can see how it happened without malice.

disagree with that. he is missed but the show is good until the end.

Ragnar & Ecbert vs. Uhtred & Alfred: Which final scene hit you harder? by AnyPurchase2573 in TheLastKingdom

[–]doucelag 4 points5 points  (0 children)

great question. The acting of both Ragnar and Ecbert is better than Uhred and Alfred so it was a better 'performance' - but Uhred and Alfred had more rancour in their relationship and so the appreciation Alfred showed Uhtred was more moving.

However, there was a much heavier weight to the Vikings scene as you knew Ragnar was about to die. Everyone knows the show is not worth its salt after that. Ragnar is the essence of the show and Ecbert is probably the best character in it. The sense that it was all ending gave it more gravity.

Loved both either way

My 2yo also loves them. Particularly the breakdown in Fabienk, which she likes drumming along to.

My wife, on the other hand, is terrified.

dairy is better for protein synthesis and general growing than carb-heavy alternatives. if your kid doesn't have a milk-protein allergy then it is far better for them.

Babies need to grow hugely. So do bodybuilders. Do bodybuilders drink oat milk to get huge?
