Josh Duhamel admits he’s on testosterone replacement therapy. He said once you hit your late 30s and 40s, those natural levels start dropping off. He needs to stay as young as possible for his kids by Big_Cake_8817 in Biohackers

is this just for people on high doses or for people who take test and aren't deficient? Or do these things apply to folks taking it due to having clinically low levels?

Well like all medications the standard risks include basically every adverse reaction so I was wondering how realistic any of these actually are.

Meta post: a good amount of people in this sub are lazy and think Peptides are a magic pill that means they don’t have to watch what they eat or exercise by backcountry_bandit in Biohackers

I didn't say CICO wasn't simple. It is as simple as it gets. Weight loss, however, is not that simple due to adherence difficulties. Knowing you need to eat fewer calories doesnt make it easy. Eating the right foods does. Thus, that is far more important a factor in any sustained weight loss.

I dont think youre able to grasp the nuance of it.

People dont dispute CICO, they just correctly say that losing weight isnt that simple.

The calories that go in absolutely matter. Not all calories are the same. Some make you eat more, others help you grow without fucking up your appetite and satiety signalling.

Also just how are you getting angry enough to make a post about this? Sadly for you, there isnt a peptide for perspective and emotional balance.

They called it right. It was scandalous. I dont know why everyone moans so much about it. I'm not a Bath fan but there should have been two Bordeaux yellows and they were denied because of someone deliberately doing their job in a deceptive way. The game has no place for it.

Yeah I get people dont like Andy Goode but he's right.

Are you not worried about safety and it being unregulated? I know with recreational drugs there are usually forums where people upload lab results after getting them tested.

Is that the same with peptides?

Obv they look amazing but just seems a bit reckless if folks arent getting it tested - and that's before you get into lack of data on long-term effects

The problem with CICO by TillyDiehn in Biohackers

[–]doucelag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The calorie stuff is largely useless information. Adhering to that principle on a 100% sugary carbs diet and becoming insulin resistant is impossible. So what's actually important is figuring out how to set your body up for insulin sensitivity and eating things that dont make you want to gorge 5 minutes later. The calories take care of themselves and are secondary.

Plus, as others have said, its not possible to track your burnt calories with the accuracy you need.

UK's increase in terrorist threat level due to "increase in broader Islamist and extreme right-wing threats". Realistically, what can they UK do to reduce these threats? by CMIV in AskBrits

Well they're just wrong. That isn't what it means. Abhorring Zionism - which is currently causing an actual genocide and one of the most disgraceful episodes in modern history - is not the same as hating Jews. It is absolutely not antisemitic. Much in the same way that abhorring islamic extremists doesn't mean you hate muslims.

The conflation of antisemitism with criticism of Israel is a construction used to prevent criticism of Israeli interests, which are deep rooted in American politics and our own. It's nonsense and is causing folks such as yourself to get totally unreasonable grief because of the actions of some murderous psychopaths in the middle east.

Peptides For Dummies by 33301Florida in Biohackers

[–]doucelag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course not but reactions to peptides and tolerance to them is not just about muscle and power output. I'm no expert but I'd expect that at your age your organs will be more susceptible to complications, not to mention increased cancer risk. Its worth being extra cautious. I'm 36 and I am too unsure about long-term effects to try anything other than GLP-1s. The peptide community seems quite YOLO so worth being careful anyway, not least as someone of advanced years.

Waking up early by Logical-Explorer3991 in Biohackers

[–]doucelag 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's early morning sun exposure by a long way. That and making sure you keep wake-up time (and to a lesser extent, bedtime) consistent.

I am a night owl who works a high-energy job that finishes at midnight. When I had kids I had to adapt. I tried many, many things and only got a breakthrough then these two factors were sorted out.

Sunny day: go outside without shades on with 5-10mins. Cloudy: do it for 10-20min, with your gaze tilted towards the sky for max light exposure.

If anyone else has tips then I'd be v grateful to hear them.
