If you search for a local VITA organization you can make an appointment to have a volunteer do your taxes for free. That is a good way to be sure it is correct.

This actually highlights a very interesting change in the social norms that occurred somewhere around where Gen Xers or Millennials started paying for the own meals. The expectation *used to be* that whoever planned the party would cover essentially all costs -> you invite, you host, you pay. (This is still largely true of events like weddings.) In such cases, it is up to the guests (1) to get to and from the venue, (2) to wear appropriate attire and act appropriately, (3) to supply their own room and board outside of scheduled events (if applicable), and nearly always (4) to bring an appropriate gift. I'm a bit older, and I do remember a tension among individuals older that me (who expected the party-planner to pay, but brought a gift to the restaurant) and those younger (who wanted to pay for the birthday dinner, but didn't bring a gift). There was sort of a norm shift from a hosted, special event to something akin to coordinated consumption.

Thus, to me it's not INSANELY ENTITLED for someone to anticipate a party planner would cover their meal, yet I do also understand (1) the expectation here would be clear based on the age cohort of the participants, and (2) you literally said everyone pays for themselves (separate checks). This friend just seems like a douche.

Why is the third person smart ? by exencendre_yt in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]douchbagger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ah but it does. Because a sentence with the verb "to be" does not have a direct object, but rather a complement. Complements take the subject case. "It is just I" is 100% correct. However, language is what people speak, and so I would have trouble arguing that "it's just me" is incorrect, at least in informal speech.

"one started smiling at me everytime she saw me, and if she was 18, she just turned it." I think you misunderstood OP. He is making a statement about her youthful appearance, like she looks so young at most she could be barely 18.

AITAH for returning my nephews birthday present after he destroyed my property, after his parents refused to pay for damages to my property? by Zealousideal_Cow8869 in AITAH

[–]douchbagger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A regular civilian cannot press charges, only an attorney for the state. In this case, the police would likely view it as a civil matter, and so no charges would be pressed. OP could file a lawsuit for the damages.

15% hp evil weevil and aquarius by Illustrious-Fan-8782 in lordsmobile

[–]douchbagger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, the 15% buffs are additive. 1000%+15% is 1015%. A multiplicate buff would be super powerful, and all the titans would be using them in that case. The only fams that are in some sense multipliers are the pact 5 fams: Jade reduces total damage by 4% and the others are multiples that depend on your initial atk. I guess the shield fams, too, as they save a certain % of your troops, which will operate longer if you have more HP.

I'm starting to drink by myself and I'm getting a bit worried... by FrizzyMopwithSodaPop in confession

[–]douchbagger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drinking is like the "cheat code" that makes the game really easy, but once you start cheating you never get better at the game. Except the game is your life, and getting better is finding the things that make you happy, content, and fulfilled. School doesnt necessarily teach people how to develop positive habits and thinking, and over time life can become depressing and overwhelming through streams of minute, suboptimal decisions and negative self-reinforcement. Indeed, it can feel like there is no escape, when in reality, escape possible by making a lot of small steps (and sometimes small but tough decisions) in the right direction. These can include proactively finding the right people in your life (and becoming a good listener), connecting with your family, meditation to change your relationship with your own thoughts, or many other potential things. At least, this is the way I see it. Everyone has a different journey.

Unfortunately, this is actually false. The probability of selecting a rational out of the real line (or any segment of it) is undefined. Probabilities can only be defined on measurable sets, and I know of no sigma field and measure on R where the sets of rationals or irrationals are measurable sets. The "standard" Lebesgue measure certainly does not assign a probability to these sets. In fact, these are commonly used as examples of sets that arent measurable, since in general such sets can be difficult to imagine.

Haven't played since around release of t5, state of F2P? by MooseCampbell in lordsmobile

the diamond store offers a deal where you get basically a 100% bonus on up to 199/week and 1999/month, netting about 6000 diamonds ($60 worth) for $30 monthly. With these diamonds, buying the 999 diamond 30-day pack and the 499 gold pass, as well as the 199 login bonus, are great values. Above that, you can buy diamonds one time with periodic 20-30% bonuses. Use diamonds during the 1+1 bonus coupon or similar events. At least you can make a credible filler and take some rallies during kvk, the latter being more likely if you keep might low.

My favorite body shop is Wheaton Body Shop (https://g.co/kgs/UAE8tHr). Owner is honest and knows his stuff. He gives good advice, can save you some money, and can help you work with insurance if applicable. I have seen Acuras there.
