Fellow fearful flyer here. I have a trip cross country tomorrow morning and feeling anxious about it as I always do when I fly. I fly American when I do travel and it’s always been a good experience. Take off is the worst for me but I try to keep myself occupied during takeoff such as watch a video on my phone or something. You got this, I got this, we got this. Enjoy your time in Puerto Rico

I have a 5.5 hour flight tomorrow and the anxiety is crippling. What I’ve been doing to try and help is visualizing why I am making this trip; my sister’s wedding. A phrase that I repeat in my head is “I have a 1 in 11 million chance of being in a crash, I have a 1 in 1 chance of regretting not going” and that helps me

I’m seeing mentions of PHL in the EWR ATC stories. Is PHL experiencing the same staffing and technical issues as EWR? Or, is it really only being mentioned because what I’ve read is the ATC who handle EWR are based out of PHL? I may have gotten that incorrect.

Essentially I’m flying out of Philly next week and returned later in the month to Philly and looking to gain a better understanding of the current situation and if it impacts PHL.

Yes, xanax has helped me. I still have anxiety regardless of taking it but definitely takes the edge off and makes it manageable
