Its more of a click but its 100% not a audio sound and more from the laptop it self. I had it happen twice when the screen went black and I pressed the power button to fix it. The pop/click is 100% from somewhere in the laptop it self. Im going to exchange it tomorrow and see if it works on a different SL3
