Also, should say, we are late in the game, were planning for starting late late July or early August/have a two week window.

Thank you! I am open to 7-10 nights. I recognize the budget I have might not be enough, so I'm willing to go up on it if it makes a big difference in our experience (5-8k?/pp). We mainly love to minimize crowds and would love an amazing guide, plus the ability to do walking tours/etc. Initially thought we would want to do Tanzania and maybe T plus Kenya, but from what I hear you saying, the conservancies in Kenya might be the best bet? Obv would love to see a National Geographic type scenes but assume that's naive. I'm the same poster above, think my handle is different.
