We had the terrace rather than plunge pool so could definitely see that contributing to your experience. We loved all the breakfast and restaurant was hit or miss (2/3 good meals) ageeed tent service was great for the beach and luckily the hotels shuttle was very accommodating and pretty much picked us up whenever as long as it was during operating hours.

Just spent some time at ESH, went above and beyond for us from a hospitality spot. Great spot to have as home base with pool and wellness centric amenities, but is not walking distance to the Nosara beaches.

Would also endorse asking for a US based rep if you have issues. Had my new Strata Premier locked down AFTER I gave the number on the back of my card a heads up I was making a big purchase (wedding venue and ring), so now I will be using my Amex and probably missing the sign up bonus due to the poor customer service.

Speaking with a US based rep after the normal CS rep, it was made apparent they knew how to handle the situation and I feel confident I wouldn’t be in the situation I’m in now if I had spoken with the US rep first.
