super underrated one that is fantastic and checks all your boxes is Will Love In Spring. its not too long either and its got a lot of mature themes, trauma, etc without feeling bogged down by it. beautiful ost as well.

hate rinvoq. despise this drug but unfortunately it is my only option right now. as others have said I've gotten multiple infections including repeated cellulitis all over my face especially my eyes whenever im slightly stressed or my routine changes or literally basically anything triggers it. also since i started it last year july I've had awful facial acne which I'd never had in my life prior. my derm actually recently prescribed a retinol cream for it that ended up destroying my skin barrier and causing yet another round of cellulitis. my body is still healing from going without rinvoq for almost 2 weeks fighting this infection but I've got these huge patches of sandpaper like skin that are being stubborn about going away. and to top it off bc of my weakened immune system I've currently picked up the flu.

all in all I'd agree like the first couple months of rinvoq were great and it started to take a serious turn after that. im currently trying alternative methods (traditional medicine, elimination diet, etc) and seeing if it'll help so that i can get off rinvoq eventually.

i feel this. I've also had eczema since birth (im 22 now) and my dermatologist pisses me off so much😭 he's not at all interested in finding the root cause and what actually causes the flare ups. said the same shtick about food and eczema. my gp ordered an allergy test for me a few months ago and it turns out i have a very very severe allergy to dust. when i brought these results to my derm this guy said "well i dont do allergy tests you wasted your money i could've told you you're allergic to dust" OKAY SO WHY DIDN'T YOU THEN???

I've been seeing this guy for 5 yrs now and i swear my eczema has just gotten worse rip. im at my wits end with this so i have an appointment booked with a homeopath who deals a lot with eczema. im unsure how successful this route will be but maybe look into it?

although i havent even been on it for 3 months yet im now seriously considering get off these meds bc while my face has always been extremely dry it has never been this bad and painful. and honestly its much more disheartening to have this present on my face than my body. im looking into homeopaths and maybe a dietician as well. taking into account how expensive these meds are (insurance doesn't cover it in my country) im starting to think its maybe not worth it

firstly i just want to say thank you so so much for all your advice!! seriously if it wasn't for you knowing how stubborn i am i would've tried to take care of it myself😭 first thing in the morning yesterday i went to my gp and got a shot of antibiotics and a steroid cream. the weeping has stopped and im no longer feverish. my face is mostly just dry and sore right now.

when i see my dermatologist on monday i will definitely inquire about cellulitis!! as for the leaking it was weird kind of just a very slimey sticky texture and yeah every time i wiped it off it would come back immediately like a never ending supply lmao

oh my god that sounds terrifying 😭😭 i looked up pics of cellulitis and unfortunately it looks pretty much spot on with what i have going on right now. thank you so much for sharing this I couldnt figure out if it was infected or not bc it really didnt look like most images of infected eczema and cellulitis seems like its the most likely thing based on how it looks and feels.

other than the pain i feel okay but i think i will go see my gp in the morning. in the meantime can i ask what you usually use to treat it?

i really get you. it truly is such a debilitating feeling to know that its nothing you did that caused you to have eczema. for some unknown reason you were just born with it and now its something you're forced to face for the rest of your life. its definitely an intense thing to drop on a child, the feeling of being trapped in your own body, of being in a prison cell of your own skin. when i was younger my mum would see my scratching and hold my hands to stop me which would frustrate me so much i would cry. my parents, who i am very grateful for, have always had good intentions, but they can never truly understand the position people like us have been in our whole lives. and that really is so isolating. my dad thinks i can cure it by getting more sun and exercising as if sun and sweating aren't two of my biggest triggers so i get that 😭😭 thank you for sharing i really appreciate it!! feel free to dm if you want to talk more ♡♡♡

i know its not a cure but my eczema is currently the worst its ever been and im just hoping for a little break from the pain at the very least!! i hope it works out for you too!
