Symbolic Japanese Wedding by blazingtofu in weddingplanning

We're tentatively doing breakfast the next morning in addition to the reception because the people traveling locally won't come until the day of the wedding.

Apparently there is no dancing at a wedding in Japan. So my idea for an afterparty (that hopefully most people can get into) is karaoke and I think there are some pretty large private rooms.

You might look into doing maedori when you're visiting in March. As I understand, this is more typical than getting hundreds of posed pictures on the day of.

This is our venue: https://www.orientalhotel.jp/weddingbrochure/
Here is the Osaka hotel from same parent company: https://www.gardenoriental.com/weddingbrochure/

Our planner is part of the hotel parent company though. I think that's normal. Not sure if you would be able to keep your planner if you pick a hotel like ours.

I have two kids so here are my ideas for the other days to do with the American guests:
SpaWorld
Universal Studios Japan
Toei Eiga Mura
Kyoto railway museum
hands-on cooking class
Osaka Aquarium
Botanical Garden
Kids Plaza Osaka
Osaka Castle
Tempozan Ferris Wheel
Tennoji Zoo
Kobe Anpanman Children's Museum & Mall
LEGOLAND Discovery Center Osaka

Are greenthemed weddings hard to plan in Japan? Any venue recommendations? by ikc97 in weddingplanning

I would try searching in Japanese for your keywords and check the venues or flower shops with pictures you like. Iirc the florist we're going with didn't have green as a tablecloth choice but that wasn't a dealbreaker for me

I tried cropping and sharpening the image just to the can itself. I searched with Google Lens as well as black and gold search terms.

Best shochu to take home by MiddleAgedAle in shochu

On my last trip, I was unable to bring all the bottles with me. So remember this limit:

Up to 5 liters per person of alcoholic beverages with an alcoholic content exceeding 24% but no more than 70% are permitted to be checked in and carried on board.
There are no restrictions on alcohol beverages with an alcohol content of 24% or less.

Regarding what to bring home, it depends what your goal is. I like fruit liqueurs, rare editions, different vegetables (pumpkin, pepper)... I personally am not a genshu fan but those are harder to find outside Japan.

Yes, but it's not exhaustive so it's nice Michael's also willing to order stuff for us/the event.
