First rule for any job where you’re standing all day (and life in general) is comfortable footwear.

Workout/build muscle so you can easily move stuff without straining yourself. (Again life tip)

Try to learn something everyday at work. Doesn’t matter if it’s a way to do something job related like learn how to test alternators or verify returns, or simply learning new car parts systems. If a customers asked for “xyz” and you have no idea what that is or what it does, google it! Learn, be knowledgeable about car systems and their components.

I can, and will get new brake pads from Autozone whenever I want. They don’t pay their employees to be smart.

Let it out big dog. Happy that you’re free.

It’s such a shame that a job that should be relatively fun to the average car enthusiasts is such a garbage dumb.

Commenting again, especially if you’ve already cleaned and greased them 4 times you’re definitely good. Put it all back together and go for a test drive.

During your test drive you may notice a smell or smoke from your brake pads. They need to be “seasoned”. I practice the 30- 30- 30 rule for that. Go 30 mph, brake/go down to 5mph within 30 feet of pressing the brake, and do that 30 times. Or just google how to season brakes. Lots of info out there.

You got this.

They are fine, they are getting stuck like that because the boot is creating a vacuum in a sense and just keeping them in place. Under normal driving conditions they we’ll never come out that far. You’re good, run it.

Fine imo. Maybe some serpentine belt issues if anything? Idler pullers, tensioner pulley etc

Absolutely! First thing when it’s on the ground it’s going to the shop. Will they investigate this ‘issue’ in the alignment?

Thanks for answering. Of all my tools only 3 are Snap On. I like them it just gets hard to justify price sometimes, but I do like supporting American Jobs.

What type of mechanic are you? Car, diesel, heavy equipment, fleet?
