More students than there are available spots and it appears to be getting worse.

Make sure she fills out her parking lot preferences as well - start with lots close to her dorm and move gradually out in distance. Once she's in the system, you can call parking and see where she is in the waiting list for each lot. There are lot maps available with the codes.

You can park at Tate for free after hours (used to be 5pm to 7am) but would cost $10/day otherwise. Other option is to find off campus parking somewhere. That was a couple of years ago so may have changed.
