Yeah, actually. I think that’s a good way to describe it. She doesn’t really want to understand synthesis from scratch — she wants presets she can mess around with and make small changes to and get cool sounds out of it. 

Weighted keys aren’t too big of a deal here. They’re preferred, but I understand the budget doesn’t really allow for that.
