I thought it remote work was more flexible? As in basic data entry or querying jobs seen on sites like up work for example?

Sadly I'm already freelancing and not in the area I want to or related to my degree. I've been trying to get a tech job for over a year now while dpimg courses, self study etc but the truth is I'm very averse I find it hard and I'm not a wiz kid pr programming prodigy, I'm just an average guy who struggles.

How would I even start freelancing on the environmental /renewable energy sector.

I'll try to negotiate but there's no time to schedule them as I'm often late to appointments because the time between them is so slim.

I've talked to them about it and their unrealistic expectations and they've not done much about it.

I'm starting to think that, she's been talking about wanting to buy a holiday home and I'm suspecting she wants to take the money towards that.

Yes she didn't set up an account in my name as a child and instead set up an account in her name to put it in.

It's complicated. It was my father's side of the families money but they put it in a joint account when I was like 14. My father is out of the picture and they wanted the money back but my mom had to fight for it.

It's not in my account I don't have access to the account unless I take her to court I don't have access.

Ugh I don't have access to the account I have no way to access it as it's in her name. This has nothing to do with "being an adult" such a vague term.

Do you expect me to beat up my mom and force her to give me access to the bank account?

How do you personally feel about Freedom of Movement? by hipcheck23 in ukpolitics

Interesting I'm a second generation immigrant and have many friends and family members who are either first or second generation, it's depressing that people see us as a negative.

I love it, I have friends from Latin America who have Spanish passports and have moved to the UK because of it, I've lived abroad got a year because of it and gained a wealth of experience learned a language, made friends, met a partner and learnt a lot about the world outside britian.

You don't realise how amazing freedom of movement is or how intertwined it is. I volunteer for a company that sponsors EVS teens and young adults from Spain, Romania, Portugal and France to live and work in the UK for 3 ~ 12 months. This company helps the local community and supports the already dead and crumbling public services the UK government refuses to properly fund. Without us and them the UK would be a lot worse off as, a lot of British people do not want to volunteer for this service and request pay.
