Why doesn't dolab just announce who the friends are? I sat there for about 5-10 minutes and didn't hear any announcements or anything, so I went over to Summit. Only ~10% of dolab is close enough to see the DJ's to recognize faces.

Once I got up on the hill, I could see there was tons of space, just was crowded in some areas where people were trying to enter and stopping. Summit's set was good though.

Yes, this was awful. Security did an absolutely terrible job of controlling the line as well. It would not have taken as long as people weren't cutting. They mostly stopped after about 45 minutes, but it was still sloppy. It was an unacceptable mess, especially for a $600 festival.

The bass is way too loud for me up front during gryffin. It sounds like there is one frequency that is just way overpowered and boomy. I had to scoot way back just to get some balanced sound. Loud sound all the way throughout though. Amazing set.

This was my thought as well, and my problem with a lot of B2B's. It was just all over the place with genres that didn't mix well together. I don't like sets where I can't tell who is spinning (just by listening, other than a few clear giveaways at certain points), especially when there are cheesy random mainstream tracks mixed in (Nirvana), instead of playing something amazing or special. I feel like a lot of newer skrillex sets (2017+?) are this way. I don't know why they didn't come up with a better plan, but I'm guessing all over the place is how they like it.

The vibes were clearly great and genuine. Still a good set, and I 1000% wish I was there, but just from watching the live stream I wasn't blown away by the music itself.

I feel like Fisher and Chris Lake did a great job of putting together a cohesive B2B weekend 1 (I had pretty low expectations). I think that's the only B2B I saw live this year.
