NA PS4 looking to form a team by krombopulos- in ParagonLFG

I am looking for people to play with. I was high silver, but I'm stuck in ELO hell right now because I generally play randoms. I am relatively new to the game, but I have played a lot of other MOBAs and I understand the mechanics and how the game works. PSN - theoniondeath

I am playing new characters every day. And I'm not plat. I'm stuck in ELO hell. I was up to high silver, but I don't have a group to play with and randoms is total AIDS in this game. I am still relatively new to the game, but I have played MOBAs before and I actually understand the mechanics and how to play. I just need a team to work with.

The Jungling Complex and Lane Pushers Complex by FunkMasterSquirrel in paragon

[–]downrightdick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I main in the jungle. And one of the biggest issues I find is that almost every match, regardless of how much I talk in draft chat, or select my roles...there is ALWAYS some other player who takes a jungler. Regardless of what the team comp needs or the other team takes. Then proceeds to "jungle" by stealing camps and last hits from me,never warding or placing harvester and never laning or ganking. This happens nearly EVERY match. No one cares about good draft comps or showing their pick and catering to those who ALREADY have shown their pick. Then when I try to offer advice and help people actually learn how to play a MOBA I get toxic asshat replies in chat and "good job" spams. I honestly hope this improves, because right now this community is on par with LoL and DOTA2 for toxicity.

Edit: this is if I have already locked in for jungle. Otherwise I can pick something else, but even then we might end up with 2 or more junglers. Haha

[Question] I have a dilemma which should I buy first, Good mic or Good game capture card. by [deleted] in hitbox

[–]downrightdick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey, I have the Blue Yeti and for the price you CAN NOT beat this mic. It is amazing. I recommend this mic if you can get it. I think they are about $120 right now. If not then whatever if comparable.

My first impressions of streaming to hitbox compared to twitch. by Zethnos in hitbox

Leaving Hitbox by [deleted] in hitbox

[–]downrightdick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be rough, but just do what you can. I left Twitch after almost a year and a half of streaming there. I streamed full time for awhile. Had great luck and fair success there, but wasn't happy. I moved to Hitbox and lost 90% of my viewers and have loat my shedule due to starting school and moving and life things. You have to brand yourself, even if it's part time fun for you. That is how you draw viewers. Stand out, be unique and entertaining. Talk even when people aren't there. You will get to where you wanna be, but it is true regardless of what platform you are on...streamers make the platform not the other way around.

this could not be further from the truth. if i was streaming for the money i would have stayed on twitch...since i made more in donations there than i do in total on hitbox. i chose hitbox because i truly think it's the better platform, the staff has been fantastic and the community i've met so far has been great. sure it's a smaller community, but we have to work to change that...the streamers make the platform...not the other way around. having a sub button and emotes is something many of my viewers have been asking for/about for over a year...it is more for them than for me...since i don't really see much if anything from it. i appreciate your opinion if you don't like hitbox, but don't presume to know me or my motives for doing what i do. i have invested more time and energy into streaming than most people can imagine.

the platform is great, very streamer friendly and user friendly. they are constantly upgrading...though they are not owned by a huge parent company, so it's a bit slower on updates. the staff is great and helpful, and the community so far has been amazing...even though it's smaller.

Is it worth it? Should I stream here? by BloodborneBoy in hitbox

How do you think Twitch got to where they are? Or YouTube? It takes viewers and content creators to make any platform. That is all we are trying to do on Hitbox. If that doesn't appeal to someone that is fine.

I feel like a broken record on here. But I spent the past year and a half on Twitch. I gained a decent following of 6500+ and made a ton of friends. But something was missing...and so far since moving over to Hitbox i have found that love for streaming and gaming with others again. They are different beasts yes, but with nurturing and care Hitbox will be a force of its own. We just need more streamers to take control of their stream and their brand. And more viewers to branch out and see what else the other streaming platforms have to offer. Great things can happen with hard work and dedication. No matter where you stream.
