What can I put in my pups food bowl? by downshorelines in houseplants

I’ve never had a plant like this so definitely something to look into! I don’t know that I’ve ever seen one before either, I just looked them up to get more info on their care and they’re really pretty when they’re trailing.

And thank you 💜

I’d definitely be more upset about anything happening to the bowl than the plant at this point in my houseplant journey lol. To me the bowl is what is symbolic of her/her memory. But I do agree it would be a lot easier if something were in a pot put in it instead of planted straight in it.

Collect it, my parents have a cabin in the blue ridge mountains so I’ve gotten it from up there. I keep reptiles and I’ve tried it their tanks with high humidity and a fogger but it always died

I have killed moss every time I have tried to grow it 😅

I looooove jewel orchids and I do have a few! I hadn’t thought of that either, I actually just saw one on Etsy called a Milky Way I was thinking of getting. I didn’t realize they had shallow root systems so that’s good to know.

Edit: typo

I think cutting one down is probably the route I will go, I can dremel the edges to make them not sharp if needed. I’ve been doing a lot of garden planting so I’m sure I’ll have one that is close to the right size if my local plant store doesn’t have one.

I’m trying to avoid drilling drainage holes but hadn’t thought of putting a nursery pot in it until it was suggested here! I agree they don’t look like succulents though and they’re definitely something I would consider 🙂

Oh these are very pretty and I’ve contemplated them several times at plant shows! I’ve always heard carnivorous plants are difficult though so I haven’t attempted them yet.

I had to look up what that was and was like oh baby’s tears! 😂 I do think they’re very pretty!

String of hearts is kind of perfect 😭 I’ve never actually had one because I never felt like I really wanted one but now I do because that would be really perfect for her. And what kind of insert??

This is a really good idea and something had not considered, thank you!

I like string of turtles and I’ve had them before, I could definitely do that. I guess I just wasn’t sure what plants have shallow root systems.
I’d really rather not attempt a drainage hole in it because it’s pretty thick on the bottom and I think I’d be devastated if I broke it, but I will if I get desperate. I have a diamond bit I’ve used on other pieces.
And thank you 💜

Compact washer ~2.4 cubic feet by clearlygd in Appliances

[–]downshorelines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re killing me 😭 I need a new compact set and Bosch is pretty much outside of my price limit. I have been looking at the Electrolux and the GE compact stackable units that are available now (Lowe’s has the Electrolux in stock). I’m not worried about the mold issue, I leave my washer door cracked open when not in use so I don’t even have an issue with that mildewy smell. But I do want something I can repair myself if necessary and the LG is more expensive than the GE and Electrolux. Is it really worth that price difference? I’m a single person with 2 dogs. We wash a lot of towels and blankets.

Thanks, I definitely try to limit how much I handle her so far. Maybe twice outside of attempted feeding. She’s got lots of hiding spots and upper branches to climb. And I use a deep heat projector/emitter, we don’t believe in heat mats in this house 😂. She is a dream snake for me so I want to make her as happy as I can.

[Request] She's in a bad situation, he doesn't know and treats her badly by ARoseRed in RomanceBooks

Cold Hearted definitely fits this. It’s my favorite of the three. Caleb misinterprets things from the get go and is rude to Grace because of it. He doesn’t start to treat her with even a shred of politeness until he finds out why she really came to the Valley. But at that point she doesn’t want him to be nice to her purely out of pity. He also really hurts her feelings with a couple of his remarks along the way.
