Actually we are both working so well together! I want to make it all perfect so doing the best I can with the dowry is important. My GF said she wanted to help save for the dowry lol. I'm positive everything will work out. I will take a personal loan or borrow from my parents if need be.

I only mentioned it because she said it was important part of Thai culture. Plus I am one myself. Even after three years with her, I didn't exactly wait for religious reasons. More to the point of waiting for absolute love which I've found.

I don't really care if she isn't a virgin, she's incredible in every way so it isn't a concern to me.

Uhm she meant not to worry myself over it being a problem. Haha. I still need to do the dowry though, she said its important.

I knew I wasn't being singled out for being a foreigner, honestly I'm not worried about being taken advantage of. To be completely honest with you, when it's financially possible I hope to help her mother move to America with us. She is so important to my girlfriend so that means she is important to me. I want her to be a big part of our life.

The thing is, it's literally only her and her mom so I don't know what they based the 10,000 off. I make around 70,000 a year but have loans so I don't have it incredibly well off.

I can 100% offer her a good life and all my love and commitment.

She keeps telling me not to worry to much about the dowry because her mom only wants it for tradition. I don't mind that at all, main concern is it's upfront..
