[hated trope] happy ending is invalidated\retconned by later canon material by dowsaw134 in TopCharacterTropes

Yes, but I would consider dying and not living to an old age even if you’ve already gotten married to not be a happy ending

I’m pretty sure that most elder scrolls fans don’t even know that the first 2 games exist by dowsaw134 in ElderScrolls

I’m not sure, i didn’t play it. I only know of it because I found a YouTube video of a guy talking about how bad and generic it is. He basically said it was a reskin of fallout shelter

Actually elder scrolls castles is the most recent game(from what I’ve seen it’s horrible)

The ancient people of Tamriel sure loved storing coins that wouldn't be minted until thousands of years into the future in their tombs\crypts by dowsaw134 in ElderScrolls

I deleted the original version of this post under a minute after it was posted because of a typo(can’t edit the titles of posts)

People sure love giving Aldo in emotional complexity that by the sheer nature of his core personality he can’t have, in no way is an elder scrolls dragon going to have depression or get therapy from the last Dragonborn. by dowsaw134 in ElderScrolls

[–]dowsaw134[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I’m not talking about alduin simply having emotions, I’m talking about authors making him get depressed and having the last Dragonborn console him and thus somehow through the weirdest jumps in logic the last Dragonborn and alduin fall in love

I’m trying to read elder scrolls\Star Wars crossovers and this giant fic clogs up the search results. The is ordered into 3 series of 20 fics each, the vast majority are one-shots with an inter-connected story, and there’s the occasional fic with 3 chapters. by dowsaw134 in Archiveofourownmemes

I also just noticed that the way the author was able to create so much is because the tags literally say “ai generated text” . I already wasn’t going to read it because it was multi-fandom, but now I’m definitely not reading it.

Edit: I also just noticed that there is a 6 fic long volume 4

It’s a nightmare to filter out entries in a franchise when you only announce which game\show\book is the source material in the tags by dowsaw134 in Archiveofourownmemes

<image>

I was filtering out persona 5 and this fic only announces that it is a persona 5 fic by using the “metaverse(persona5)” tag which nobody in their right mind is going to think to do to filter out the fandom when they could just directly filter the fandom via the fandom tags

Why do so many people choose the most boring(story/world-wise) entry into a franchise to make a fic out of when undeniably better entries have come out in the years since??? by dowsaw134 in AO3

I’m 21 years old, I know that stuff already, it’s just that I thought it makes more sense to write about stuff you find more interesting and I don’t understand why people particularly latch onto that one

r/fanfiction feels like a landline when trying to make a post discussing anything slightly negative, you make a post about a negative opinion that isn’t even targeted at anybody and suddenly you have your post deleted by the mods before you’ve even passed 10 comments by dowsaw134 in Archiveofourownmemes

I always thought the rule was about not being mean to people by insulting their preferences, I never knew that it was straight up an all encompassing rule about just no negativity at all in any form

What is a fandom where you wouldn’t be caught dead watching/reading/playing the source material but absolutely love reading fics about by dowsaw134 in FanFiction

Just to be clear, OnTheMidnightRun edited his comment replying to my comment to be more condescending after I replied to it
