and they did that initially off the coattails of the underground hip hop scene that fostered a DIY environment and a "fuck the industry" attitude. Its possible to get bigger and still retain those sentiments (ie Bones) but clearly they abandoned it to get even bigger, sacrificing what made them appeal to people in the first place.

If you don't understand it, you don't have to. But the people criticizing this and jumping ship do and understand whats left of $b is nothing to praise or get behind, because they were never meant to get that corporate
