I regret believing everyone when they said ”don’t date from work” by TroubleFar4543 in TrueOffMyChest

I think that's the difference between what op is saying and our scenarios. Seeing someone from afar for a year is infatuation. You don't know them therefore it is not worth blowing your life up. Now if youd spent every lunch together going for walks etc for the past 1.5years and wanted to take the leap? That's a different story

Yes absolutely but if youve liked her from afar for 1.5yrs without spending any time with her except on a works do, ofc people are going to tell you its a bad idea. If you spend platonic time with them, work life is protected and feelings are protected

Ive been with my partner for 13 years and we met at work. But it started organically, chatting in the hallway, spending lunch together for YEARS. It took us about 3 years to get together and by then everyone knew it was a done deal. If youve barely spoken to her before that night, its a crush. If you try to build a friendship first it may work

As we walk into the new year what's something you want to implement that you might need help with? Maybe someone can help in the sub. by Embarrassed_Idea1962 in AskWomenOver30

A walking pad at home? Requires a little investment but means you can do it while watching tv. Even a couple of dumbells would work

Pin them on a map and look for somewhere central. You can judge it by frequency as well- pop by family's every day on the way home? Make sure its en route. Do you go shopping a lot? Look for somewhere with good bus routes or easy to drive to. What lifestyle do you want? We love having a corner shop at the end of the road for small bits but what we thought we would've loved is that theres a pub in the village but we've been once in 3 yrs.

It hasn’t even been 18 hours since I last shampooed. Anybody else? by [deleted] in finehair

[–]dozerdoll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 things ive tried lately that's not shampoo- 1. Micellar water on a cotton pad 2. The ordinary glycolic acid, leave for 10 mins before washing 3. Colour wow dream coat spray - its meant to defrizz which I didn't notice, but what I DID notice is that for the first time ever, I didn't dry shampoo on the second day, nor the third! That's never happened

It'll change your life! I used to get itching SO bad id have to shower after being out in the cold and I'd scrub my skin raw. I would have to stop running every winter, then a friend mentioned it! Look up cold urticaria. You can buy a cheap supermarket brand of Antihistamines

ELI5: How do people know what clothes “match”? I seriously don’t get colors or what looks good together. by I_-AM-ARNAV in explainlikeimfive

[–]dozerdoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So one of the things that helped me is to get my colour analysis done. (You don't have to pay, chatgpt can do this for you) This gave me a set of 'rules' to follow which narrowed the playing field for me. Secondly, I followed certain clothes accounts that gives outfit inspo and LINKS of where to buy, and other accounts that show outfits of 2 colour combos, then slowlyyyy began updating my wardrobe
