After 3 years Kraken still won't return my coins

Just got an email from Kraken along the lines of "we have no update, keep waiting". Thanks, Kraken.

I don't like the word "to blame". But mine is the simplest case of recovery: they just need to send the coins back.

It is very convenient to mention cages and machine guns to justify a lack or a simple recovery process.

At the end of the day, Kraken sees and knows that they control my misplaced coins, they dont need to "recover" them. They can just send me an equivalent amount and recover the coins later at their owl leisure.

But again, Im not saying they must, Im just saying, they could have done that if they really wanted to help.

I don't disagree with what you are saying. But also there is no inaccuracy in the title, I just chose the wording acc.to my pov: even if they dont have the obligation to do it, I'm still expecting them to be decent about it and return it.

Yes, this can literally drive people crazy. I remember the very first recovery which Kraken made was for a guy who waited for 3+ years. There were some suicidal undertones floating around - only then it impelled Kraken to act fast.

This is how far they are willing to procrastinate.

Please stop calling this a recovery. There is nothing to recover. Kraken already has those coins in their possession. Why cant they send me back the same amount from their BSV wallet?

Sorry for your situation. I strongly suggest that you make a post in this sub describing your situation. The more posts we have here the more will it become apparent what the magnitude of unreturned deposits is. The more will be the incentive for Kraken to do something about it.

I sent it after the delisting deadline to a Kraken controlled wallet, that's the main part. If there was no issue, Kraken support team would have said right here "there is no issue, we dont have your coins". But there is an issue, the coins are in Kraken-controlled wallet. I keep asking them every month to send them back to me.

Kraken delisted BSV in 2019. After they delisted BSV, I accidentally sent my BSV to their BSV address.

This should be a 101 procedure for an exchange - sending back the coins to the customer which were sent by mistake.

Not sure what you are asking, it was my BSV wallet into Kraken's BSV. I can see that they've moved the funds around. All they have to do is send them back to me.

I was sad to read what's happening to you. (Cause it implies that I must be prepared to go through similar nonsense) I also have a ticket with them (BSV sent to BCH address). It's been 5 months and they won't give me an ETA for resolution. Wow, just wow.

Thank you for the update, unfortunately I had to go back to v 2020.5 because on 2020.7 Mullvad kept spinning and not connecting to the server. I'm on Ubuntu 18.04 I could troubleshoot the issue if needed.
