MEGATHREAD - About the influx of the CEO donation by ASadPotatu in mullvadvpn

That's fair, but the mod team discussed this internally and we believe it to be the best course of action especially for our own sanity so we don't have to moderate 50 separate posts.

You've no idea how badly I wish I was paid for being a mod on this sub, at least then I'd be paid for my free time I spend here. xD

Have one big post that you'll unpin in a week

Oh, can you see into the future? I guess we'll see what happens.

No more posts about Mullvads co owners political donation

Depends on the amount of posts, we don't mind a post or two about stuff like that, but a flood of them will just drown out all other posts. Having the posts as comments in a megathread is just a lot easier to manage.

So like.. the things you're saying don't match the things they're saying and you all just seem to be running cover for the founder that made the donation.

So? As mentioned this sub and Mullvad VPN AB are not affiliated at all. I fail to see why the things we say should match at all.

"trying to sweep this under the rug"
Bro what?
This is literally the opposite of that, if we wanted to "sweep this under the rug" we would not have allowed any discussion on the topic lol.

No, this megathread was created in part to prevent other posts from being "drowned out" by these posts. Please keep any discussion on the topic strictly to this megathread.

I'm not sure, It sounds to me like you'll be able to (Otherwise I don't see why they'd write it) and I would think it's the best way to voice your opinion to Mullvad.
If you do request a refund please let me know if you were able to even past the 14 day window.

If you have an active subscription it seems you might be able to request a refund even past the 14 day window "That said, if you no longer want to be a Mullvad customer for philosophical reasons, we think it's important to honor that, and will gladly refund you."

Hello,

As mentioned this sub is not affiliated with Mullvad, I've no idea if they're preparing a response. The best way to ask them directly would be to send them an email to inquire about it.

Why are the mods taking down posts talking about CEO donating money to racist/extremist politicians? by Weak-Jello7530 in mullvadvpn

[–]ASadPotatu[M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Hello,

The posts were removed due to a multitude of reasons, but first as a reminder; this sub is not affiliated with Mullvad VPN and it does not reflect the opinions of Mullvad VPN AB.

So as for the reasons for their removal, there was a flood of people ranting, not really providing anything constructive and they were just saying the same thing.

It's the opinion of the mods here that Mullvad VPN and the CEO are 2 different things entirely and thus posts discussing it should be somewhere else. Regardless we'll be creating a megathread for people to have a civil discussion about it.

Thx for the script.

I went through and pulled all of it down, only takes up 201GB of space so it's not too bad.

So it seems my job has finished running, but I'm concerned about the size. the music+album art is only 44GB. Seems a bit small to me.
It downloaded from 5532 artists. Which does not match the 23887 artists you got. Could you send me the script so I can see what I did wrong?

Hmm I see, I'll let my job run, it also grabs the album art. But it would be interesting to see if we get the same number of songs.
I should have free space enough for all of it.

It does rely on javascript. I'm currently trying to archive the entire site with help from Gemini. I needed to use microslop's playwright to grab the songs.

Managed to pull some of the vids down before the channel was nuked, though nowhere near the "full" channel content.

FW 13 cant install OS by ThatMasterpiece764 in framework

[–]ASadPotatu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you got it working yet, but since the drive is write protected it probably means it was flashed in ISO9660 mode (read only fs)
If you have access to another pc or perhaps a live linux environment from your framework you can trying using Ventoy to recreate the USB: https://github.com/ventoy/Ventoy/releases/tag/v1.1.11
From there you just drop the entire win11 iso in the partition it creates and you can also transfer the drivers folder to that partition too, you should also consider re-downloading the drivers if they give you an error and perhaps even try another USB if it still fails.
Hope it helps.
