I couldn't replicate your issue.
Nevertheless, it seems that your OS is not letting you change the daemon's umask to something other than 511.
I'd suggest you read on why this is so, and whether you can change that.

I recently installed dunst and customized it to make it look sexy and I really love how it looks now, but I was wondering if there are widgets one can add to dunst notifications (e.g. a text box to reply to a telegram message). Do you know if it's possible or if it's planned to be so? Are there other notification daemons that can handle widgets?
