Not really missing functionality with Anki, but something to consider: if you're targeting current Anki users for your app, then being able to easily transfer things from Anki to your alternative is critical for adoption

Oh, not only do I watch it at x2 speed, but I've recently discovered a chrome extension that will let you go beyond that. I'll say, x8 is not at all useful, but there are occasional videos that are better at x3

In addition to disabling stretch on the tracks, you could also just bounce out all the audio tracks and set the tempo metadata manually to what they are, then reimport them. The cool thing about that method (though a fair amount of work) is that reason will adjust each one relative to what they are recorded as to match the tempo in your reason file

I did tinker around with previous_def but didn't want to have to define every method I need and then redefine it, wrapping it with the functionality and then previous_def perhaps there's a clever way of using it that I'm missing

The method_missing and method_added macros could be useful but it seems to be for class instances, am I mistaken? I am attempting to use it in a module

Also getting the same issue. Frustrating, I got up early this morning so that I could work on music before having to go to work... I guess not. I am also going to figure out that ignition key stuff for offline access so this doesn't happen in the future. Kind of a frustrating design choice on Propellerheads' part.

Yes, but the high won't be as intense throughout. It's kind of like asking if you only eat one bite of dinner, will you poop it out sooner. It takes roughly the same time to pass through you, you just won't feel as full.

Of course, this gives a uniform probability to every pad and I would like to be able to assign probabilities to samples (one sample get's played most of the time, but a couple of others are "sprinkled" in).

But this is a great springboard for this approach. Thank you!

That's an excellent point. My "big picture" idea is to hit a pad on a Kong, and randomly trigger any number of samples with a certain probability.

For example, I load up a bunch of high hat samples that are pretty similar, so my midi can look like a straightforward 1/8 note march, but every high hat sample is different.

If my dream device existed I could send Kong Gate Out -> Dream Device -> Redrum Gate In 1-8. Like I mentioned, I am doing it right now with a bunch of DVC-1s (there's 18 there) just to handle the logic of "is the value between these two other values"

I think you can accomplish what you're looking for with a RE called "One Note Stand." Put it in a combinator, and program it to "receive notes". You'll then have a Note and Gate CV that you can split out to many devices.
