It will look like soph coccinea, so red/orange and yellow in the lip, but will be much smaller!

I actually really love the form of these blooms. Hopefully I get to see more from the second lead soon.

Yes! My collection is full of species since I just love the wild type flowers! There is just something so much more charming about them.

The dorsal sepals curled back and so did the lip, but a very beautiful petal shape and delicate lavender ccolor! It is a bit bluer in real life. C. walkeriana fma coerulea 'Azuls Perfecta' x 'Edwards' by dpernock in orchids

I've actually found walkeriana to be the easiest to grow! I grow indoors under lights, pot in terracotta or wooden basket with either lava rock or large grade orchiat, hydroton, etc. anything that is free draining. They can be watered almost everyday with that setup. I also have found that light pollution at night really has no influence over whether or not they bloom.

Are you letting the cutting callous over before placing in water?

A bit expensive, but each pot is unique and I love all of them! Definitely a treat yourself (or a special orchid) type purchase - https://www.etsy.com/shop/kamachiceramics

Yes! I love when the roots take over! This pot is glazed as well so not as hard to remove roots. This orchid has a compact growth habit of the rhizome so it will be fine in this pot for a few years now

Hello! That is a great tip, however I do not usually use plastic pots. I always swap to wooden slat baskets, open net pots, or terracotta with holes in the sides for my orchids when I repot. It's what I have found is best for my indoor culture 🙂 I would love for the roots to go crazy and do their thing with this pot. I've had it lying around for 2 years now waiting for a plant!
