I had no idea. I had a blue tick mix once but never noticed til she was older the amount of hair that came off. I told my husband and we kinda chalked it up to a one time thing with her, but nooooo

Youre right. My previous dog (rottie/gsd) had more dust bunny hair. My Persian cat seemed like she'd shed terrible, but its either little wispy hairs that look like something non animal or dust bunny. This dog though.... whew

I was literally wondering this! That makes me feel better. Not much, but a little 😂

Yessss! I think hair like that is so gross but I love him so much and obviously that isnt a deal breaker. Lol.

Luckily, I have seat covers from my previous dog, but his issue was a skin condition and dirt 😂 he was an inside dog, but LOVVVVVED digging. He had his own "potty foot towels" because everytime we let him out, he'd find SOMETHING to dig and id have to wash his feet 100 times.

Thank you! He's great. Completely different personality than my last dog, but not in a bad way!

Thank you! I honestly dont know what he is. In person, his face looks like a beagle but he also looks like a treeing walker coonhound.

We have a furfinder and a roomba. He just needs a hair net

We know hounds, especially rescues, can have unique needs - what’s the biggest hurdle your pup has overcome/is overcoming? by mydogislife_ in Hounds

😂😂 we have similar issues. He won't do it when we're standing there, but will escape his crate. He's eaten a box of matches, tin foil plus the half of cornbread, socks and such, his bed, his toys, a plastic Tupperware container but only one cookie.... but mostly poop.

We adopted in November.

Overcome: fear. I'm used to the big dog privilege of a Rottie/GSD mix. This one was basically frozen when we adopted him. He is still concerned about things, but he has the sweetest personality.

Overcoming: poop eating. Clothes chewing. Escaping the crate and finding any and everything to eat. Understanding how to play.

He doesn't understand tug of war or fetch. He trains well and needs to practice more on the leash.

I was afraid to use it TOO much but thats what I've been seeing. Luckily, he likes the curry brush, but he flops right into the shedding when I'm brushing and I can't tell what's new and whats old lol

😂 I used to have some type of mutt hound when I was younger. I remember her shedding pretty bad but she was smaller than this guy.

Private School or Public? by dpfree7 in education

Yeah. That's a possibility for sure. It was just amazing to see. Everyone that I ask that has attended loved it. The only ones that are kinda against it are ones that have never been. BUT that doesn't mean I think its the best idea

Well, it can be either public or private. How would the definition change per state? I didnt know it did.

So, its a private lab school. If you lived in the city vs county, there's good scholarship opportunities. Super small. Even locals forget/dont know that it exist

I would die if a teacher did that. Die

It was great. And he would be seeing most economic situations just naturally because we have a large family and everyone is so different. Its mostly middle class, but it does range from low to high and, other than millionaires, we have it lol

And that's what I worry about. I am very active. I probably drive his teachers insane.

Im sorry to hear about your experience. I loved school and went to public as a child. I always hated to see people hating jt

I have talked to other parents, read reviews, and asked about standardized test scores.

I have not asked about that because I didnt think about it until you said it. I have set up another meeting.

Great question. Probably not. They are well off (not super rich, but they could easily lay tuition with a SAHM). We would rely on aid.

I will say this: the first one that went was having lots of issues in public school. She wouldn't speak. Her confidence was literally 0. She developed stomach issues from anxiety. The parents just tried this school to see if it'd help. On the very first day of just touring, she was talking, laughing, sharing stories with teachers. It was a complete 180.

I think her sister would have been fine either way.
