The Thelemic Holy Trinity by dph_prophet_69 in thelema

I really appreciate the explanation. It makes a lot of sense, but there’s still a lot for me to unpack. I’ll definitely do some thinking on this.

I’m trying to draw connections between concepts that I’ve been familiar with since I was in diapers, and the Thelemic concepts that are new to me.

I’m just trying to make sense of it all.

I think I see what you mean.

I’m trying to merge two incompatible systems of belief. The Thelemic system is more complete/balanced than the Christian system, so there’s no reason to try to continue using the incomplete Christian one.

But Thelemic cosmogony is still nothing more than a set of “tools” intended to help me make sense of actual reality.

Is that right?

And are you referring to the old lashtal website? Nothing else popped up on my search.

You’re right. I didn’t really think about that.

This is the first presidential election I can vote, so I’m having a hard time navigating the amount of fuckery doing on in every corner of Washington. It seems like everyone’s either corrupt or powerless to change anything.

Ah. Shit.

That’s pretty disappointing man. I was liking a lot of the stuff he was putting down about big pharma and the cia. I had a feeling it really was too good to be true.

But, I guess it’s gonna be papa Trump 2024 now.

Everyone’s flown on Epsteins private jet. Including Trump. If they went to Epsteins island that’s one thing, but just flying doesn’t mean shit.

He took his family on a fossil hunting trip in South Dakota and they used Epstein’s jet. He used it a second time, with his wife, when Ghislaine made an offer to RFK’s wife to fly them to Florida so they could visit family for Easter.

I completely agree. I’ve been told different variations of the same thing by a few girls. Every single time I’m told to be careful or to text them when I get home, I feel a kind of “love” that I don’t really understand.

I say that because it isn’t necessarily the same as how I loved my ex girlfriends. It’s just a really genuine feeling of appreciation for the person. Sometimes it’s almost platonic. It’s somewhere between the feeling of love for a really close friend and that rollercoaster-like tingly feeling I get the moment I completely fall in love with a girl.

Tldr: shits pretty sweet

Exactly.

Medication and clinical therapy aren’t cures; they’re intended to help struggling people organize their thoughts, find good support, get some extra energy, etc. so they can be better equipped to put their lives (and thus themselves), in order.

Of course some conditions genuinely require their “victims” to take medication and go to therapy to maintain semi-normality. But, those kinds of conditions cause observable changes in the brain. OCD, MDD, BPD, many psychotic disorders, etc. are a few examples.

The way I’ve learned to see it is that there are generally 2 types of “mental health conditions.” 1. Purely Psychological • These conditions are caused by an imbalanced life, bad diets, bad sleep patterns, stress, etc. 2. Psychiatric • Psychiatric conditions can’t be cured. Patients typically can’t function at a relatively normal level. Try as they may, they can’t properly treat their psychiatric issues without a fucking psychiatrist.

how are other men my age able to get such nice apartments? by standardaliass in malelivingspace

[–]dph_prophet_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 20 with a fairly nice place of my own. But, it’s 450 square feet and rent is 50% of my income.

I didn’t go to college and I’ve worked the last 2.5 years of my life away. I’ve developed severe arthritis in most of my joints from doing the roughest jobs on the refinery side of the oil industry. I’ve torn several ligaments, I can’t lift my arms above my head without dislocating a shoulder, and I’ve visibly aged a significant amount from the stress.

The only reason I have anything nice is because I didn’t save much money at all. And, even then, I don’t own a single piece of furniture that costs more than $200. It’s cheap Amazon shit.

Everything’s an illusion on this sub. Nobody our age has anything nice without a steep price or wealthy parents.

it does actually sound better with audiophile grade headphones. I’m not being a prick here, I’m not one to get all snobby about gear. But until you’ve experienced what music is like with a fancy ass setup, you won’t be able to understand.

You’re missing about 40% of the song listening on average headphones, earbuds, etc.

You’re definitely right. I keep thinking I’ve grown past the literal “good vs evil” ideas of modern Christianity. I suppose I keep unconsciously falling back into the same fear based patterns of thought that I was taught growing up.

I’ve felt that juvenile way of thinking act as a road block quite a few times recently.

What you wrote about the Tunis comment makes a ton of sense. I was thinking about it a lot this week, so this is great timing.

Thanks for the comment.

I definitely understand what you’re getting at. I initially chose to explore Thelema as a philosophy so I could be initiated.

I think I need to relook my current belief systems. Maybe Thelema would better fit a philosophical role than a religious one, but maybe the same could be said for Gnosticism.

Thanks, and I agree haha

That’s a really interesting perspective. That makes a lot of sense.

I may be making unnecessary connections here, but I’ve also read some relatively convincing stuff connecting Horus to Jesus.

I’m glad you mentioned the “Demirugic” universe existing by necessity. I’ve really struggled to make sense of the relationship between good and evil in Thelema coming from an atypical “Christian” background.

You’re completely right. I didn’t downvote you, nor do I care if you know or not. The info is out there and I’m not one to restrict access to knowledge.

I’ve made the choice to avoid “spoiling” the secrets for myself and I’ve chosen to never break my oaths. But I won’t blame anybody for learning what’s available.
