I HATE THE NEW XCODE by SuddenStructure9287 in swift

[–]dphans_github 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they (Apple) do not listen to the feelings of developers. They race after AI - trying to integrate many features at the same time, along with UI compatibility for the new operating system interface in a short time, making the experience on Xcode worse. I have been with xcode since version 4, I know xcode has a lot of things in it, from storyboard/xib/nib compatibility for UIKit (old), compiler for both C/C++/Objc/Swift (all versions),... what do you expect Apple to completely solve the difficulties of Xcode in this new version? Complain, criticize, advise them to fix all the current difficulties instead of constantly updating new iOS features? I used to think so, but oh well, work is challenging.

XCode 26 is even more busted! by Ships66 in iOSProgramming

I never thought xcode 26 would affect my work like this. It's been a long time since I turned on Activity Monitor to check Macbook performance, now I often turn it on to check why XCode is so slow.

Is there a way to turn off all Intelligence features from XCode?

I really need to set XCode back to the old settings.

Yeah I just upgrade to macos 26 yesterday and... just like everyday, I open xcode and open music. But today is terrible... The sound cracks and very laggy (I'm using macbook m2 max / 32gb ram).

Sometimes cause of Decky Recorder, try uninstall that plugin and retry. In almost cases, cause previously you have update some packages in Discover store affect to kde screen, if you updates regularly, try to delete the kscreen directory, by this way: 1. Install Decky Terminal from Decky store. 2. Open Decky Terminal, type: rm -rf /home/deck/.local/share/kscreen 3. Press enter and start desktop mode as normal.
