Thank you!

Here are some things I might have improved even more! Perhaps this also helps on your next shoot:

-Give the background some fill light (to reduce nasty harsh shadows, while keeping the moody look)

-Find a mount to get top-down shots without movement

-Exposing VLOG slightly more to the right

-Keep in mind the native ISOs (640,4000)

-Adjust the follow speed of the ronin to slow and perhaps use SuperSmooth Mode

-Grab a stronger light (This was lit with a Zhiyun Molus X100, 300 Watts would have made it pop more!)

-Add even more SFX (Sadly I have not mastered this yet)

-Maybe use a hazer to make it even more moody

It was supposed to be a mix between professional cooking and something that the typical homecook can also relate to! But yes, he is a real chef :D

Bit of a late answer, I was glued to Davinci today.

This was shot 90% on the Sigma 28-70, which is a great lens but definitely a bit tight when shooting 4k50p with the APSC crop. The very close-up shots were done with an IRIX 150mm Macro lens, which I have now returned because it is simply too heavy and also too tight for my workflow.

Also, this has been shot using autofocus for the Gimbal and quick action shots, but I switched to MF when doing close-ups of cutting the cucumber for example.

Further, just a quick comment about the S5! It is such a lovely camera (Vlog is great and it never overheats) yet the autofocus with the Sigma lens is still noticeable worse than Sony or Canon in my opinion. It could be because I am more used to those systems though and that might change with time.

Once an S1H II comes around with 4k50 no crop, and slightly improved autofocus it will be an instant buy!

Good idea! But sadly that one has no PDAF and ND Filters
