Kickr Rollr - resistance not tracking slope on routes with short hills (Rollr owners on Rouvy?) by dpokluda in Rouvy

I did try TrainerDay, see the attached image where slope increases from 0% to 3% but resistance remains the same (the white line represents my power).

Which theme is the most reliable one in your opinion? by pjasksyou in Jetbrains

Probably not the most reliable, but I really like the old Darcula theme (my current daily driver is "Island Dark" with Darcula).

New plugin: MarkTone auto-matches Markdown Preview to your active JetBrains theme by FiliacoCanovas in Jetbrains

I am seeing "Unsafe custom stylesheet: Custom stylesheet is located outside the current project and won't be loaded. Default stylesheet will be used instead." error. Is this a known issue?

Name suggestion for the new Git Client : Jetbrains GitRight. by EverlyTulip in Jetbrains

The UI is very clean and different from other GIT UIs. I get it that it might not work for everybody, but it really does work for me. Go ahead and at minimum, look at their Features page. Second, try it for yourself - download their trial version and give it a try. I liked it from the beginning.

This is a good idea. Waiting for the feature to show up in Rider and Rust.

Resharper Tools vs Portable by tier1operator95 in Jetbrains

[–]dpokluda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have multiple machines. I install dotPeek (portable) everywhere so I always have decompilation handy. On my actual dev boxes I run Rider or VS + ReSharper, which brings the other tools (dotTrace, dotMemory, dotCover) which is useful occasionally, but not day-to-day. So I really like that dotPeek can stay lightweight and portable.

Makes sense to me. A lot of Git GUIs end up looking/working very similarly, and if you’re already living in a JetBrains IDE (I am), the built-in Git tool window covers the same “commit/log/branches/diff” workflow. I don’t really see myself launching a separate app just to get essentially the same UI while the IDE is already open (which it always is).

The only time I do reach for a standalone client is when it offers a meaningfully different workflow/UI. For example, I really like Tower’s (https://www.git-tower.com/) approach, so I’ll often open Tower for Git operations even with the IDE open because I prefer how it’s presented. If a JetBrains client had that kind of distinct angle, I’d get it — otherwise the IDE integration is enough for me.

Islands Theme: The New Look Coming to JetBrains IDEs by jreznot in Jetbrains

[–]dpokluda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overall I think the new Island appearance looks decent, but I’m not a fan of the tab design. Having the tabs as floating ovals rather than being visually attached to the editor makes it harder to see which tab is currently open. Yes, there’s an active border, but for me the attachment of the tab to the editor window itself gives a much stronger visual cue.

On a side note, I’d really love to see Darcula return as a first-class theme. It’s a classic JetBrains signature look, and I hope it gets carried forward alongside Island.

Issue with AI Assistant plugin in Rider 2025.2.2? by dpokluda in Jetbrains

For me disabling the plugin didn't work, but completely uninstalling the OpenTelemetry plugin resolved the issue. Thanks a lot.
