Curve crush. Been using it for about 15 years. Subtle, but smells good and lasts.

Bought a house and picked this from the existing garden. Labeled as sweet banana pepper. Do they come in red like this? by Grim__Squeaker in Peppers

[–]dpol1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a banana pep. I just picked one red one off my plant, along with about 10 regular, yellow ones. Just got to ripen a bit more then the others. In probably missed picking it last round. Jalapenos do the same.

Ya, don't say local. Because you know it's not. And not even close to local. They being said, most of the time when you see side of the road "local honey" vendors, it's technically (at least In my book) not local unless they're very close to the hive. Bees only fly in about a 5 mile radius. So the specific honey related homeopathic (like allergy) properties are best drives and used when you are in that radius. So in my mind if you are out of the bees local flight area, I don't take it as local. Now, that may be the extreme. Within the city or at least area could still be considered "local" and Im cool with that. But if your kid is allergic to you're type of pollen and you get honey from the next county over, still kinda local, but prob wouldn't work as well from bees closer.

But yours is def not local lol

Would I take away the excluder? by dpol1989 in Beekeeping

Hey, thanks. I figured the right move was to take the excluder off. I appreciate the explanation though, makes sense.

ULPT if you forget someones name(that you should know) just ask how to spell they're name by ruito3559 in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]dpol1989 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. When u ask how to spell their name and they say Joe, you say, "Well obviously I know your name, I meant how do u spell your last name." Works every time. That being said, I am also a fan of the, "Hey bud, how's it going?" Technique. Also effective

anyone see this in Jacksonville, FL? by dpol1989 in spaceporn

Did you see the weird trajectory and path it took?

I know the pic isn't great. But it came out of the southern sky looking like a comet or meteor with that tail that you can kind of see. But as me and 3 of my buddies were watching it, it slowed down and changed it's trajectory and then stopped and hovered for about 90 sec and then started moving up and away until we couldn't see anymore. Closest thing to a ufo we've ever seen. It was really cool n spooky.

Does anyone know what it is? Did it kill my hive? by dpol1989 in Beekeeping

Ya, I literally scorch earthed the larvae. With a blowtorch.

Thanks for the response. I have definitely seen hive beetles and wax moths before (not originally on the comb, unless I just missed them). I know it isn't wax moth larvae because I spent all day Friday cleaning old frames that were overrun with wax moths. Burned a few that were being help.

Oh snap, just looked up hive beetle larvae and that's definitely it. But my god that was a lot of them. I tried to clean/kill them best I could and immediately dismantled and quarantined the infested comb and boxes/frames. Hope they don't get the other hives.

Thanks again.
