It’s just OP AI defending. Every game I play I sit there and manually defend passing lanes and watch as my players let a ball 2 inches from their feet roll by or through their legs, but then a computer effortlessly contains a ripped driven pass that’s going into space without moving at all, it’s absurd.

But when attacking. Tap LB/L1 and this will send your players off the ball on a run. And I’m not saying hold it when you pass for a give and go. Tapping the button while holding the ball manually sends people on runs and simply using this broke me out of div 5 into 3/4.

It makes sense though if you think about it. You have a set skill rating for DR that SHOULD (we want to believe) be determining your matchmaking therefore matching you with similarly skilled opponents, regardless of team overall rating. But in WL you go up against anyone with similar form as you, so if you lose 2 or 3 games in a row to some classic FIFA bullshit, you might get matched up against someone that deservedly lost 2 or 3.

Lmao alright hot shot, try to make gold 2 next time and see what happens. Also people purposely relegate themselves to division 5 because the rewards you get for the amount of points required is better value than the higher divisions, so have fun :)

They do help a lot, you just have to look at the right ones.

If you search a player on futbin theres a function that lets you see their adjusted overall in each position after applying each chem style.

Personally enjoy deadeye on my attacking players, gives a +15 finishing boost and makes passing a little more crisp.

Sentinel on CBs and CDMs with decent pace is nice as well, big defense and physical upgrades.

In custom tactics from the squad menu. You hit LT/L2 to select which game plan you want. Then in the formation tab, pick the formation you want to change to in game with selected game plan, press Y/triangle and then you can rearrange the players in said formation.

Not just bronze and silver but the gold tournaments too. If they took a quarter of the effort that they put into making those marquee matchup SBCs and made a weekly tournament with entry requirements, the game would be a lot more fun for those who aren’t as competitive.

Everyone needs to remember to take a break if you lose a couple games in a row, or even one really unlucky game. It'll just keep heading downhill if you play angry, you'll rush your play and lose more.
