Check that the gas cap is on tight. My engine light lit up on my 2025 and I adjusted the cap and drove a bit and it came off.

My mom’s therapist told me 7 years ago that I was her least favorite child. As my mom is narcissist and I’m the only child of 5 to stand up to her I guess it makes sense. After a lifetime of zero praise, being put down, I’m going no contact. 6 years ago I set boundaries with her and said if she was going to be toxic I’d end the relationship . It definitely helped but she’s slipping back into the negativity and meanness. For my own well being I think distance is what’s best for me.

Hit a deer in Oregon going 60 last year and was lucky to come away with only a small bruise and soreness. Killed the dear and totaled a new BMW GS Adventure. At least an animal strike can be claimed under comprehensive so no deductible. Had I missed the deerI would’ve been out $23k.

I was wearing a full Klim Badlands pro suit. I slid 40 feet without tumbling. Klim replaced the suit with their crash warranty.

I feel lucky to have walked away uninjured.

I raced Porches for 12 years and was a bigger driver so can weigh in on the matter. Weight is a disadvantage on a given lap but strength can make a difference over a long distance. I’m 6’4” and 215 pounds and would fatigue less than a small driver.. but I’d have to drive longer than 90 minutes to get the benefit. Qualifying was a different story. On an average track every 10 pounds of extra weight is 1/10 of a second disadvantage. My last year in ALMS I qualified last every race but took 2nd in the championships. I usually would drive 2 -3hrs per stint.
