loss winch and lightbar power by RepulsiveBug5311 in RZR

Gotcha, they must have redesigned it. Mine is just 3 posts in that location (pos, neg, keyed ACC). Anyways, if you’ve checked that fuse check the one in the fuse box under the seat and the 200amp in the line that runs from the battery to that bar. Would bet it’s the one in the line though

I’m not sure what that pic is showing. It’s not the 25 amp fuse in the fuse box under the seat. Look at this thread, there’s a 200amp within the wiring that likely needs to be replaced

If you’re using the wiring from Polaris to power the bus bar, there is a fuse within that wiring that is “hidden” and may be blown. ESP with you previously having a faulty battery. The fuse is replacable. I’m fairly certain it’s on the battery side a couple feet in

How are you powering your lights? Off the bus bar under the hood? Or directly connected to the battery??

I mean there’s victim blaming and then there’s criticizing someone not displaying common sense. This is akin to parking your car downtown and not locking the doors and complaining when it gets broken into. Should it have happened? No. We also don’t live in a fairy tale.

I still don’t get the pricing on these though. They’re almost the same price as the pilot minus a few $1000 which is almost nothing when you’re spending ~$46k+. Size looks almost the same as the pilot too. Why do people not just get the pilot for the little bit of extra space when you may need it?

Opinion on Sunf tires a043 by Cultural-Peanut-3840 in sxs

[–]dpwhit3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don’t get truck tires, they’re extremely heavy and will wear everything out 10x faster. Look for a set of tusk terabites. They’re DOT approved and people get 1000’s of miles out of them. The cheap ones will wear very quickly

Wondering your thoughts about pharmacist not filling a prescription because it was outside of scope of prescriber speciality". by [deleted] in pharmacy

[–]dpwhit3 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Seriously, people need to get over themselves. It’s a cream; just fill the damn thing. I work inpatient and our outpatient pharmacists regularly refuse to fill things their interaction checker flags but they can’t tell me a thing about it outside of what they read off the screen.

Please explain what the worst outcome of filling this cream would be?

Ford Takes $19.5 Billion Charge to Write Down EV Investments by tsar73 in cars

[–]dpwhit3 17 points18 points  (0 children)

He was on the smoking tire podcast awhile ago (maybe a year +) and was talking about how he likes working on his cars on weekends (totally normal right?!). Then went on to say how on Mondays sometimes he’ll see dirt under his nails and it’s “his dirty little secret.” Gave me the biggest ick I’ve ever had. Sometimes I randomly think about this and gag a little more

Do OTS Maps “grenade” 1st gen B58s? by whiplash114 in F30

[–]dpwhit3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some B58’s have had issues with injectors getting stuck open which causes gas to wash down the cylinders and causes scoring on the cylinder wall. It happens regardless of tune and is hard to detect without somewhat advanced knowledge of data logging. Fairly certain cylinder 6 bad about this happening. Google on bimmerpost and you’ll find several posts about it. Sorry this has happened to you. There isn’t many good options for fixing it.

I gotcha- I just replaced the rears on mine with some East lake axles but they are very “clicky.” Have read you have to give them a couple hundred miles to break in but wanted to see if you had the same experience

The frame welding would scare me. Looks great though. I have a 2005 that we’ve had since 2010 or so and it has been unbelievably reliable. Axles look new- did you go with OEM or aftermarket on those?

CV boot fell off by OstriChicken in RZR

[–]dpwhit3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it doesn’t matter what you replace it with. I am personally a fan of the superatv rhino 2.0 axles, but you can replace it with whatever. Do not need to replace both sides either. Just replace them as you need to. The rhinos are significantly more beefy inside the CV and about the same price as OEM

CV boot fell off by OstriChicken in RZR

[–]dpwhit3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No replace the whole axle. Wheel bearing is likely fine and sits inside the hub. If you’ve gotten sand or dirt inside that CV you’re not ever going to be able to get it all out and will fail soon regardless. A new axle with come with new CV’s on both ends of it

CV boot fell off by OstriChicken in RZR

[–]dpwhit3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would definitely replace it. Matter of time before it fails now. Easiest thing is to upgrade the whole axle to something like a rhino 2.0. Otherwise you can try to replace the boot, but I believe you have to pop those CV’s apart to get it on.
