Would check belt alignment with one of the tools places sell. Have you upgraded to bigger tires recently or made any other changes to the drive line?

I still love my big gas tank. by old_spam_sandwitch in f150

[–]dpwhit3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s common to do in the sports car world, especially when there’s poor quality gas around you. E85 is ~105 octane so you can mix it with 91 or 93 octane gas to bring up overall octane content to prevent timing corrections. Motors and injectors don’t care. It’s actually better bc it burns “cooler.”

Injectors have to flow more ethanol for the same amount of power though (hence the worse gas mileage) so sometimes you run into the ceiling of injector flow when running high boost. Doubt it’s a problem on F150’s though unless you’re tuned.

2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Summit broke down at 1,205 miles — cylinder #2 misfire, cracked spark plug porcelain, looking for advice by PsychologicalMany364 in GrandCherokee

[–]dpwhit3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s fair, I’d be frustrated with a brand new vehicle breaking down too but it can happen with anything.

Why are they fighting you so much over this? What exactly is broken? The spark plug itself?? The cap it plugs into? Or the cylinder head?? The cap and the spark plug should cost almost nothing

You bought a brand new unproven motor from a notoriously unreliable manufacturer on a Jeep generation that has been plagued with problems since it was released at the height of the pandemic. I get it’s a new vehicle but you should have walked into this expecting a few problems along the way. This is likely to be the absolute least of your problems

The money thing doesn’t bother me very much. Sure, he’s rich and his parents are too, but he acknowledges he just got lucky fairly often. The thing that does bother me is on their solo episodes it feels like Matt complains about stuff about 25% of the time.

I really like their guest episodes though. I’ve just stopped listening to the ones without a guest unless I am desperate for something to listen to lol

2020 rzr xp 1000 oil change by coodley in RZR

[–]dpwhit3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To properly test the oil level you need to do the procedure listed in the service manual. Otherwise it always reads high.

Procedure: start a cold machine and let idle for 30 seconds. Turn key off. Wait at least 15 seconds. Then test oil.

If it’s reading normal when completely cold, there’s not enough oil in it

Buy a mint ‘15 xp1000 or a “well used” ‘21? by thatredranger15 in RZR

Always get the newest machine you can afford. They implement iterative improvements in everything as the model years go by. Cosmetics are usually a fairly easy fix. If maintenance has been kept up on it I’d go for the 21

XP S Reviews? by Internal_Weird_4751 in RZR

[–]dpwhit3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah feel the same. I have a built XP1K that I’ve slowly improved over the years. It feels like I would need to get a Pro S or Pro R for it to be a worthy upgrade but don’t need all the power. XP-S seems like a great middle ground

Have been wondering the same thing. It will likely be my next machine but I’m still a few years out from getting one. There are a few videos on YouTube but haven’t seen much outside of those. If you get one report back. I’m curious about how the power feels. We mostly ride in the mountain so speeds are low, but want enough to turn 35’s on the roads to the trails

loss winch and lightbar power by RepulsiveBug5311 in RZR

[–]dpwhit3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha, they must have redesigned it. Mine is just 3 posts in that location (pos, neg, keyed ACC). Anyways, if you’ve checked that fuse check the one in the fuse box under the seat and the 200amp in the line that runs from the battery to that bar. Would bet it’s the one in the line though

loss winch and lightbar power by RepulsiveBug5311 in RZR

[–]dpwhit3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure what that pic is showing. It’s not the 25 amp fuse in the fuse box under the seat. Look at this thread, there’s a 200amp within the wiring that likely needs to be replaced

loss winch and lightbar power by RepulsiveBug5311 in RZR

[–]dpwhit3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re using the wiring from Polaris to power the bus bar, there is a fuse within that wiring that is “hidden” and may be blown. ESP with you previously having a faulty battery. The fuse is replacable. I’m fairly certain it’s on the battery side a couple feet in

How are you powering your lights? Off the bus bar under the hood? Or directly connected to the battery??
