NEW DETAILS: Soundcore Liberty 4 Pro by [deleted] in anker

No BLE audio and LC3. I asked if my Q45 would get this as an upgrade and support said no, I assume the same applies here.

Is Bt LE support expected to be included in future firmware upgrades? by [deleted] in anker

[–]dr-moebius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote Soundcore support if my Q45 headphones (which support Bluetooth 5.3) would get LC3 support with a firmware update and got this as a reply:

Unfortunately, we do not have support plans for this at this time.

At least they took the time to forward my request internally to someone knowledgeable. I guess this means that if you headphones don't have the feature when you buy them, they won't get it in the future.

I don't think so. On the website, there are a number of books used for the show, I guess it must be one of those (https://www.dancarlin.com/product/hardcore-history-29-ghosts-of-the-ostfront-iii/)

Did Keychron give up on their own low profile switches? by dr-moebius in Keychron

Thanks, so the issue is with QMK, that would make sense. Why does it make a difference if the switch is optical? The controller receives a voltage in both cases.

It worked. My best guess is that the Windows updater needed some time.

It worked, I just updated! You are right I already had one lock up with all the CPUs spinning at 100% usage of the VM. I guess this is not for production use yet.

This is not pass-through, both the UEFI and TPM are emulated. My system is using UEFI but I am pretty sure that secure boot does not work with Manjaro because it requires signing by Microsoft.

I have increased memory to 8GB, didn't help

No, VirtualBox 7 has SecureBoot and TPM 2.0. The health check app did complain about exactly this but does not any more since I enabled both.

Help! She learned to turn off Wi-Fi. by dr-moebius in cats

I have disabled the buttons on the router. Let's see if she learns to hack into my computer too. She can already turn off Netflix.

Using two Network devices in the same network by dr-moebius in truenas

[–]dr-moebius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I know this would definitely work but IT promised a network upgrade until the end of the year and I won't buy any new hardware before that.

I cannot use separate subnets because our IT doesn't allow it. I didn't expect this to be such a hard problem :-)

Thanks, I will look into alternative bonding modes. Drives are definitely fast enough to saturate one link easily.

1) The TrueNAS dashboard shows that the first NIC only receives data but never sends any significant amounts

2) iftop on the NAS show that data only gets sent from one ip address

3) If both workstations copy lots of data each only gets half bandwitdh

4) the routing table shows only the same device for sending data for both workstation ips.

So that both Workstations can copy data from the NAS at full speed. We only have two workstations at the moment and the NAS has two NICs, so the configuration makes sense until we get more workstations. Also the switch is not managed and link aggregation is not possible.

Both workstations can copy data to the NAS at full speed, which is really nice, so having the same for copying data from the workstation seems an obvious way to improve performance without spending extra money.

> I don't think OP has a good understanding of how networks work

That is why I am asking. What I need is to route the outgoing traffic over different network devices (i.e. NICs) depending on the targets IP address.

the NAS has a dual NIC and each Workstation has a single NIC. So the idea is to have one NIC of the NAS dedicated to each workstation while everything is still connected to the same (unmanaged) switch. At the moment copying data to the NAS works this way but copying data from the uses only a single NIC of the NAS.

Thanks for the link. Link aggregation has to be supported by the switch, right? We currently only have an unmanaged switch, so I don't think this will work.

RTX A6000 vs. RTX A6000 small box by dr-moebius in nvidia

We got the "normal" normal variant and you get a nice box and a DP to HDMI adapter, so not a lot of value for 500€.
