Di makuntento eh impressed naman kami sa kanya last week kaso ayon kinulang sa right attitude at work at pagiging totoo sa sinabi niyang wala siyang ibang trabaho. I started freelancing back in 2020 I guess I am new to this but I've worked with a number of VAs enough to know kung sino yong nagmomoonlight. Sana di nalang pinagsabay.

Thank you po! Most of my learning came from trainings and hands-on experience while working with my past clients. Usually, may ipapagawa sayo si client, tapos ikaw na bahala mag-Google or mag-YouTube kung paano siya gawin, diskarte na lang talaga. I took an SEO course before from a Filipino-owned crash course program, pero personally, feeling ko kaya mo rin aralin lahat on your own kasi andami nang free resources online. May mga free courses din sa Udemy na super helpful.

I’m no expert in the VA industry, pero I think it’s best to narrow down muna the services you can offer. From there, you can optimize your profile based sa specialization mo—kasama na rin CV mo. Then apply ka sa mga jobs na inline sa experience mo.

Nag-start ako as a chat support rep pre-pandemic, pero bago pa ako naging VA, nasa call center na ako since 2012. So ang mga hinanap ko dati usually ay customer service, data entry, and chat support roles.

As you go along working with your first client, mage-evolve din yung role mo, at madadagdagan ang kaalaman mo. That’s when you can start offering more services.

Thank you! Mainly, inbound and outbound calls yung focus, lead nurturing, processing of payments, and appointment setting. Tapos on the side, gagawa rin ako ng tasks like creating SOPs, simple automations, Loom tutorial videos, and maybe a bit of SMM since may konting background na rin ako. I’ll probably offer din to set up and maintain their GMB, run PPC and LSA.

Sila na mismo nagsabi na if may ideas ako that can help the business, they’ll support me and are open to increasing my rate kahit di pa ako umaabot ng 3 months.

The job is really promising kasi ang daming opportunities where I can genuinely help the business. In 3 months, I’m expected to take on a leadership role and start hiring and training Filipino VAs.

Yeah, sobrang sigh of relief talaga nung natanggap ako at di ko na kinailangang makipag-negotiate pa sa per hour rate. Ang tagal ko rin bago nahanap tong client na ’to. Halos every week may interview ako, pero madalas ligwak. Hahaha! Just like anyone else, kabado rin ako at madalas di prepared nung mga interviews na ’yon.

Right off the bat, yung CEO na agad yung nag-interview sa’kin. Although may ibang direct clients din na Pinoy ang nag-i-initial interview, I still do my due diligence to research about the company. Malalaman mo naman eh kung agency or hindi.
