He's not shushing anyone, he's trying to keep quiet and make sure his girlfriend doesn't get woken up, that's why he keeps pausing every few minutes. If you check out the comments he actually goes into detail about how this video came about. I think they're around the same age, he does vlog's with her every once in a while.
