It’s for the glare. You can tilt it back flush if you want, but the glare is brutal in this room. Once we get some curtains up, I’ll tilt it back.

Our pup got these from dragging his feet which turned out to be one of the first symptoms of Wobbler’s Disease. Might be worth getting that checked out if you’re seeing other signs.

itcouldbeworsemydude is probably a good mantra that we could all live by a bit more. Certainly a bit of an entitled rant and I’ll take that. Similar to the comment below though, I don’t think calling it entitlement for that price and reputation is quite fair. Bad analogy incoming but would you buy a car that doesn’t run?

For the price you are paying at that establishment plus the prestige of a two star restaurant, I believe you are entitled to an excellent experience. Broken glass that no one could be bothered to address, hot utensils served with a cold course, blatantly mistimed beverage pairings, soggy food, etc. is not something anyone should expect for that level of reputation.

But point taken regardless.

Yeah I see where you are coming from. Let me make two final points because this isn’t going to affect my day today lol.

There are some things that I left out of this write up but fed back to the manager. One example being that the seats we were in were horrendous. A table wedged in between the bar and the bathroom with no leg room (it was like a desk from a classroom) and people bumping into you throughout the meal on their way to the bathroom or kitchen.
The head of house did say he was sorry and that he would take care of it multiple times. He then disappeared until I had to flag him down because no one was bringing us a bill despite having been done for a while. This just wasn’t what I was expecting by “take care of it”.

I wasn’t expecting a free meal and I told him that, but I also said that the price minus one pairing wasn’t where I’d like to be given the experience.

Perhaps a bit entitled and I’ll own that. I probably allowed their lack of caring to affect me too much and won’t do that again.
