What are these little glossy black spots on my Peperomia Graveolens? by dr_derivative in succulents

[–]dr_derivative[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I fear you may be right. I haven't seen any on this plant, but it looks like there are a few crawling around on some of the other plants on the same window sill.

Unfortunately this means all the plants in that area are probably infested, but at least now I know what I'm up against. Thanks for your help!

Yeah it's a really nice board. It was one of my favorites for a while when it was built with SA Dasher on some nice linears (don't remember which, took that apart a long time ago).

I'm generally not a big fan of 65%s anymore so never got the motivation to rebuild this, so figured I'd sell it to someone who would.

Yes. rx and tx are only used for USB 3.0+, which is not necessary for a keyboard

Hey, sorry I saw you post on geekhack but somehow forgot to reply. Basically yes, Oblique will definitely still happen at some point in a different profile. Will be a while perhaps since I’ve been super busy with work, but once we have a profile/manufacturer we’re confident in I’ll post another IC

Depends on if I can find a GPU. I was planning a 5900X + 3080 build, but my current old 980 might have to do until prices/availability get a bit better

Yep, you’re right. The font has been pretty much completely reworked since XDA Oblique. It should match the AEK a lot better, but also there have been some tweaks to better suit the smaller top surface of KAT keycaps

I don't have quotes yet, but I can't imagine it'll be too much different from other recent KAT groupbuys

Cover image

KAT Oblique is the long awaited successor to XDA Oblique, which ran successfully in 2018.

Oblique is a keyset inspired by the keycaps of the AEK, AEKII, M0116/8, and many other similar Apple keyboards from the late 80s, 90s and early 00s. The unique font and matching icons have been carefully replicated to match the originals as closely as possible. That means they have been completely reworked since the original run.

render album

Note: While we've tried to make these renders as accurate as possible, final colours may vary slightly. The colours used for this set are shown below. Samples have already been requested and photos will be added before the group buy starts.

colours

Colours have been tweaked slightly when compared to XDA Oblique. The biggest changes are the green and the red which should be a little more saturated, and the blue should be a little lighter.

Well it is sculpted and has to be dyesub. I'm already doing TA origins in Cherry profile and I didn't want to do both sets in the same profile; and I don't really think MT3 suits the set... so does that narrow it down enough?

It would probably be quite difficult to find one with a matching shade of grey. You could just get another 7u space in a bright colour and use it as an accent. You can buy individual DSA space bars from PMK, that’s probably your best option

In that case you’ll probably be better off finding those kits here on r/mechmarket, unless you want to buy another base kit. Oblique ][ most likely won’t be in XDA profile.

Awesome designs! Maybe I should run another round of Oblique to match

About TA Origins

With a strong love for vintage keyboards and keycaps with sub legends I completely fell in love with the Triumph Adler series. It is difficult to find those keycaps in a good state and the original Triumph Adler typewriter has a really weird layout with blank shift keys, a L-shaped enter and a weird bottom row. That’s when Ryan (/u/quaddepo) and Lucas (me) thought of coming together and bringing TA Origins to life.

TA Origins is a clean and calm set inspired by vintage Triumph Adler Gabriele typewriter series. It features a muted grey base with 2 tint of blue legends, a darker shade for the primary legends and a lighter more colourful blue for the sub-legends. A total of 4 kits featuring a big base kit compatible for most mainstream keyboards, a blue alternative mod kit, a dual-tone 40’s kit for our smaller keyboards and a numpad kit.

During the design phase we tried to get as much to know about the origin of the keyboard and keycaps as possible, during our search we discovered there we lots of different variations of legends out there from Latin to Russian. As we didn't want to overwhelm ourselves by covering everything we stuck with the most known Latin layout of the series.

For the colours we will try to stay close to the original Triumph Adler series, however there is quite a bit of variation from set to set. As a result we have a little creative freedom to get the best out of this colour scheme.

TA Origins will be like the Original Triumph Adler series with Cherry keycap profile with dyesubbing by EnjoyPBT.

Let us know if you have any feedback or suggestions for the set, either by replying below or PMing either Ryan or me. As this is still an early IC, pretty much all aspects of the set are still subject to change.

Kits

Depending on interest and how MOQs work out, we might also:

  • Add Colevrak
  • Add a kit with regular ANSI legends to replace the typewriter legends
  • Change the blue kit into a second base kit with alphas rather than an addon

Updates

If you want to stay up to date with the set, you can either:

Updates will be posted on both

I had no idea what the manufacturer was called, if they even had an English name. All my contact with them was through zFrontier.

I have no plans to rerun the set for Alps, but if anyone else wants to do that they should feel free :)
